August 23, 20215 yr Greetings We have an FCS-3K-VP-3000 inverter (FULLCIRCLESOLAR) installed April 2019, and 4 x 400Ah Lead-acid batteries. We have four 350W PV panels. Load on the inverter is normally <25%, yet the inverter tends to swap to utility after only a few minutes of using the panels. I’m wondering if the batteries are not holding charge properly?

What is the battery voltage just before it switches to utility? According to this document, the VP models are PWM models, not MPPT. I assume that this is a 24 V system, with the battery connected 2S2P. Are the panels all in parallel? That is, 1S4P? If not, you won't get full value from the panels.
