Inverter swapping from panels to utility

Greetings

We have an FCS-3K-VP-3000 inverter (FULLCIRCLESOLAR) installed April 2019, and 4 x 400Ah Lead-acid batteries. We have four 350W PV panels. Load on the inverter is normally <25%, yet the inverter tends to swap to utility after only a few minutes of using the panels. I’m wondering if the batteries are not holding charge properly?

You would not be the first person with a worn out lead acid battery, unfortunately.

What is the battery voltage just before it switches to utility?

According to this document, the VP models are PWM models, not MPPT. I assume that this is a 24 V system, with the battery connected 2S2P. Are the panels all in parallel? That is, 1S4P? If not, you won't get full value from the panels.
