  1. Hi all I have been looking for a hot water solution for some time and ended up building this.https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/stevetearle/loadmaster-xp-a-smart-pv-mppt-solar-hot-water-controller-4a813f Made some changes to it to work with local heating cylinders It has been running for 5months without any problems. The benefit is that it has dual outputs and can run either 2 separate hot water cylinders or the second output can be configured to dump excess solar into your existing PV system when the water has reached its set temperature. Currently running 1 x 150L and 1x 200L of grid. Reaching 65 degC every day, weather permitting.
  2. Hi everybody. Has anybody done a application for a grid tie system with ESKOM? We have up to recently only installed hybrid systems with no feedback capability, but have been receiving more and more requests for grid tied systems. I have read through the NRS regulations and understand the limitations of the size that can be installed, but according to my knowledge a application needs to be done with eskom before a grid tied system can be connected to their grid. Is this still the case if the system is set to not export any energy to the grid? The last thing I want is to install a system with a customer only to have ESKOM disconnect the supply because the proper procedure was not followed. Does anybody have experience with the application process? The system are relatively small at between 30-50Kw Regards William
  3. Hi everybody. I had the same issue recently with 3 x 7.2 max in 3phase configuration and 8 x Pylontech3000c batteries. If set to user the watch power app reports the SOC incorrectly Set the dipswitch no1 on master battery to the on position. Be careful because the dipswitch is installed the wrong way around. Set batt setting on L1 inverter to pyl Connect batt cable from inverter L1 to rs485 port on master batt Set L2 and L3 batt type to user (charge and float to 53.2v) Batt icon on L1 should start flashing to indicate comms with BMS (can take up to 2 mins to establish comms Hope this helps
  4. Thank you for all replies. The fault however is still persisting. We are not feeding the inverter from the grid but rather from a generator. The generator voltage is stable at 228v and frequency 49.5 Hz. This is well within the limits according to the inverter spec. Inverter is set to Appliance in parameter 3 which according to the manual has a range of 90-280vac I have 5 units installed at different sites with another 3 following soon. The problem is common to all the installations. When the gen is connected the inverter goes into bypass. (which is correct) It then starts charging but stops after a few seconds. I am suspecting that there is problem with what the AC input is willing to accept. It is also possible that the inverter is trying to feed power into the generator. This doesn't make much sense as the inverter according to me should not have any grid tie capabilities This happens even at a very low setting on the AC charge value (2 amps ) I believe this to a inherent flaw on this type of inverter. Maybe related to firmware? Firmware is the latest version Any thoughts?
  5. Hi everybody I am new to the forum so greetings to all. Glad to be a part of a very informative forum. I am experiencing the same problem with the 7.2 max and have downloaded the latest firmware from the provided link. I have done firmware upgrades on the MKS II before but are not sure how it is done on the Axpert max. It seems there are 2 different softwares (1 for the display and one for the inverter.) Should this be done separately? Is there any guide available on doing this on the Axpert Max? Any advice will be appreciated
