Hi just an update, i have set the charge to solar only and 2A AC-charge an for fun 10A total charge. While on batteries only doing this change the inverter went to Error8. So it can actually happen on battery only as-well🤯. Now it keeps going to error8 before almost everytime. @Coulomb i agree with you. My 2cents on that fix is the following. If you have a slight overvoltage you can do it, but my inverter the voltage is higher than than the igbt and for that fact the caps will handle. So if i cheat it it is going to pop the main igbt’s I am going to change the step-up transformer tomorrow even-though i don't believe it will make a difference.

Sorry for late reply i had a crazy week. I have it back in front of me. To clarify the bus voltage is measured with a multimeter on the bus+ bus- connections. i removed the scc. I just measured it again and it actually toppes out at 669V, the error08 and it sounds the alarm as soon as the bus passes 600v. So this issue(or at least my inverter) it not related to the scc. if it start it on battries and it can run for hours. Assoon as i cannect ac and it goes to bypass, and the igbt turn off, the voltage shoots up in a matter of 5seconds .

Hi guys, any luck with this issue? I have an inverter on my test bench with only batteries(4 old Flooded)and mains connected. If i connect battery and switch on inverter it runs perfect with bus voltage at +-375v no load connected. If i turn the inverter to standby mode the bus-voltage climbs to 640v and if i then try to power it up i get error 08. Scenario 2 if i run in battery mode and turn mains on (ut1) in 2 min the inverter goes to error 08 bus-voltage of 640v. what it looks like the dc-dc overshoots with no load.

Hi Venom, thanks for you post i would like to hear about your experience with SMH and the 7.2Max. I also run a similar setup but have an issue on SMH where the inverter handler stops and you need to restart it almost every day. And SMH’s accuracy when it comes to PV being generated. I really like smh and have been using it for 5years( well atleast icc) before there split.
