Hi all. I bought a 12v/20amp acdc solar regulator. Firstly how many panels would be required to charge 2 x 12v batteries in parralel connection. I have 3 x 250w panels spares conmected in series at the moment. Is this to much? All that I am running is 10 x 5w 12v down lights. Could I connect more.

Haha, Ja been struggling with my system for almost 4 years now already. Due to bad installations. Trying to sort out myself. All my batteries got seriously damaged. The weekend they all finally had there last breath. So I had to make a plan to get these 4 as my system needs batteries attached.

Hi all. I bought new battiers for my solar system and now need to know what the correct settings on my axpert 48v system should be for them to last as long as possible. Please let me know if you need more info.

The panels are in series at the moment x 3.

Hi. I want to remove 3 x 250w panels from my 12 that I have and install some 12v led lights through the house. The question is. 1. What size mppt controller do I need to buy to charge 1 or 2 batteries. 2. Will the 3 x panels in series be to much or would I need less. Much appreciated. Daniel

Hello All, My batteries has finally packed up. (Extremely Hot) and Boiling. How do I bypass the Axpert to not charge and only run off Utility for the moment. Thanks All Daniel

Hi, I disconnected the front row, and it seems that the back 4 strings where fully charged. Somewhere the Axpert got confused and only focused on the front 4. It was late afternoon so I could not see what the charge reaction was and will monitor it today and feedback.

Hi Don, I see on the pic that all the negatives have also been connected. Do Ineed to add this cabling?

Hi, installed the buzz bars today and have been monitoring batteries. Front four are still the only batteries bubling and getting very hot. Have checked cables and all are the same length.

Hi Guys Please have a look at the attached picture of my setup. The issue I have is that only the front 4 batteries are charging and bubbling during the day. The water was empty and got refilled but the other were still fine. Is there a problem with my setup that not all batteries are being charged. The Blue from Negative is longer than the positive cable, there are no buzz bars, fuses, and is directly connected to the Inverter. Your input will be highly appreciated. Thanks Daniel

Thanks, like I said I am new to this, so I am not sure what to set on the settings to prevent this from happening.

Something interesting is since I changed the panels on saturday after two years, to 4 x 3 my voltage has gone up and the batteries started bubbling, contacted Dixon and says that the battiers are actually now charging. Sett setting 2-40A, dont know what to change next.

This system is already in place for two years, and my batteries are giving me problems in the sense of losing power quickly.

I think this has already happened. How would the BMV assist and change the way the axpert operates.

How do I set the DOD on the axpert controller.

Plonkster, please can you explain recommended charge rate. Is this a setting that I have to set on the inverter?
