Hubble battery delivery delay.
That is sometime the case, particularly now when batteries are in big demand. It may take local distributors who are burned by Hubble's insensitivity to their customers a while to find alternatives, but you can be sure they are looking hard. I've been in the telco game for years and have seen people switch vendors (including with batteries) and then (after going through the effort of changing) never looked back. Not everything costs 5x more. Many SA distributors have great relationships with their vendors who are in for the long term. To be clear, I received the inverter and panels from PFS as promised and no problem so the Hubble battery is the part missing and where Hubble can't communicate properly about their delays.

Hubble battery delivery delay.
Of course there are problems but just because your only tool is a hammer doesn't mean everything is a nail. I wish that was the case, although a company as un-customer-friendly as Hubble is highly unlikely to worry about. It's 1000x more likely to be poor logistics and opacity (intentional or otherwise) when dealing with customers. Watch SA companies start to shop around for new suppliers ...

Hubble battery delivery delay.
16th June has come and gone and no Hubble (as I correctly predicted 100%) To be clear - this is not about some covid conspiracy or about the global supply chain bottlenecks. FYI- there has actually been stock sitting in Cape Town. Some contributors really confuse their issues - maybe on purpose to muddy the waters. I know because I monitor the electronics industry closely since Wuhan in Feb 2020. This is about valuing and being transparent with the customer. I've been in the game of advising customers of delivery times with a long lead time, and there are right ways of doing it. Simple changes to how one communicates make a massive difference, for mutual benefit.

Hubble battery delivery delay.
In April, when I started comparing suppliers, I could have actually got cheaper kit there and then (through a mate) but I chose a single supplier, together with his recommended installer, so that any performance or warranty issues could be resolved at one point. PFS has offered me a refund but meantime my items are way more expensive than when I paid for them. I see from this thread there were very similar patterns to the delays in 2021

Hubble battery delivery delay.
In this case Hubble mainly needs to be more committed and proactive in managing communication about delivery dates

Thanks, that's good to know where the battery delivery delays and scheduling problem are sitting - with Hubble. Hopefully whatever supplier ultimately wins market share in SA will offer good service to back their technology and pricing.

Nope, unfortunately the panels are also idle because of the delay in supplying brackets, which is another story altogether.

Hubble battery delivery delay.
It's good to see some honesty now rather than hearing empty promises for the last 3 weeks. The problem is not that 'everyone is fighting for stock'. Hopefully that is referring to a fight between distributors and not end-customers (i.e indirectly blaming Hubble). The problem is the poor order tracking. Why would someone fight for stock if there was an objective prioritisation and tracking system in place. The reason I am 'waiting impatiently' is because: a) you missed existing promises 3x b) you wanted full upfront payment so now I can't shop around

Hubble battery delivery delay.
I should have read this before paying for the hubble. It's been 25 days and no detail from powerforum on when to expect the battery. Originally it was 1 June, and then 'Monday to Wednesday this week' and then 'in the next day or two' and now it's anyone's guess. The other R80 investment is idle and useless without the battery
