  1. Thanks Scorp007 I appreciate your input...
  2. Hi all I just bought this 24v inverter i connected it up with 2 x 12v 100Ah batteries. Everything seems to be working fine. What confuses me is the fact that in its settings it displays the Charing, float voltages in 12v range. Is this correct? On its home screen it shows the batteries at 28v which is fine, im just worried that the batteries are not charing correctly. I would appreciate any feedback Regards Chris
  3. Hi Jaxone Well I'm not an installer but what I did is I used the meter port of each inverter to the raspberry. I'm not sure if a rj45 splitter would be your answer to connect two devices on the meter port. I while ago I read somewhere that if you upgrade your inverter to the newest firmware you could use the bms port for solar assistant as well. Hope it helps.if you struggling with the cable between inverter and raspberry i would send some photos of the connection.
  4. Hi All Hope someone could assist me in my dilemma. I have a Raspberry pie with solar-assistant installed. It works well with my inverters, I now just want to connect my pylontech us3000c master battery to the pie. I have bought a usb to rs232 converter(picture attached) and I am not sure how to crimp the rj45. I have tried green to pin 8,red to pin 6 and white to pin 3, left out the black wire but there is no communication with the pie. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.
  5. My Deye 12kw 3phase inverters are set as : Master - 01 Slave 1 - 02 Slave 2 - 03 The coms cable positions are quite important. On mine it is as follows. From master it should be in parallel port B to slave 1 in port B and then from B to port A on slave 2. Hope it helps.
  6. Scabadude I'm not sure if your method is going to work. My inverters do not say wifi/rs232 only wifi.
  7. Sorry I am a bit confused now.. Is there two methods of wiring the pi to my inverters? 1.with the rs485 to usb cable (wire all thee my inverters to the pie) or 2. With the rj45(labeled meter 485) of the master inverter to the pi.
  8. Great thanks for the quick response. So If understand correctly my bms connection to batteries stay the same, the wifi dongels get replaced with the cables. Each inverter gets a cable which connects to the rasbe3pi interface?
  9. Hi All Hope someone could help me in my confusion to connect a Raspberry pi 3b+ to my inverters I have 3 x 3phase 12kw deye inverters connected in parallel. Rj45 cables come from the bms port of each inverter to a rs485/can hub and then to my master battery. So my question, how to connect the raspberry pi? Inverter model number : sun-12k-sg04lp3

  11. Hi, hope you all are well. Semi new to solar and need to upgrade as I would like to go off grid. Could someone give me some clarity on my situation please. I would like to parallel 3x spf5000es inverters per phase(all our farm wiring is 3 phase). So hypothetically total of 9 inverters. What is the max Amp output per inverter and does the amp multiply by 3 per phase if 3 inverters are connected in parallel per phase. My biggest motor is 15kw rated at 31A. Would the inverters be able to start it up and run smoothly without utility(eskom). I currently have have 4x pylontech us3000c batteries, should I add to them or replace with Revov first life. Kind regards. Chris Jensen.
