  1. @CoulombCould I have damaged or shorted the bms in the inverter and/or battery by trying different sequences to try get the bms to work? Or could I have damaged or shorted the bms in the inverter and/or battery by mistakenly touching cables together whilst trying different sequences to try get the bms to work? Or can the bms get damaged or shorted in anyway as I still keep getting error 61?
  2. Thanks @Coulomb, I have tried everything but still keep getting error 61. I have swopped and tried different pin out sequences but no luck ๐Ÿ˜”
  3. I have it set at 1-0-0-0 I plugged it in the same way as the video above. I have it set to PYL Yes I left it and came back but it was still giving error 61. Do you know if any of the pin outs on the battery are supposed to give a voltage?
  4. Hi @Coulomb, thank you for the information. I updated the display to 22.20 and it was successful and now shows 22.20 on the display. The only issue is that my BMS is still not working and I am getting error 61. The cable is fine and I checked continuity on the cables using the same pin out as in the video. Any idea why I am still getting this error? Another thing is that from the inverter the pin 3 and 5 both show a voltage, whereas the batter pin 7 and 8 does not.
  5. Thank you for much. Does the 8kw and the 10 kW use the same remote panel firmware? So I can use the link you provided (ie: I can use the second link in the picture below for my 8kW)?
  6. I am unable to locate the download for this firmware and I don't want to click the incorrect firmware. Please can you assist.
  7. Hi @Coulomb thank you for your reply. I have attached below both a picture of the display screen as well as the Watchtower app showing the firmware at 22.08. It says 22.08 but can you please confirm this. IMG_0766.heic Will this still work for my 8 kW or should I not try?
  8. Hi everyone I refer to the video below. I am trying to set up my BMS, however, keep getting error 61. I was working for a couple months but I see that this error is back. In the video he mentions the firmware version, does anyone know where I can get this version from and how to update it. The Model number is: RCT - AXMX2 - 8K48V. The versions are: Main CPU: 54.01 and Secondary CPU: 22.08. Thank you.
  9. Yes, this is the correct one. Thanks! Yes, I have search everywhere and cannot find it either. I hope they release it to the public soon. Thanks @Coulomb. It is quite similar to the previous module. I just have to wait for the firmware. If you manage to find it in the future, please let me know.
  10. My new inverter finally arrived. The Model number is: RCT - AXMX2 - 8K48V. It seems to be the closest to this one: http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/U-GK%2C U-MS/U-MS series user manual.pdf, however, they are not 100% the same. There are slight differences. Does anyone know where I can get the latest firmwares for this inverter. The current firmwares are: Main CPU: 54.01 Secondary CPU: 22.08 Also, how do you upgrade the firmware on one of these inverters? Thanks.
  11. Thanks @Coulomb I will do that and let you know how it goes.
  12. The company that I purchased the inverter from said they will exchange my inverter for the RCT Axpert MAX 2 8K48V (https://www.sustainable.co.za/products/rct-axpert-max-2-8k48v-8kva-8kw-48v-hybrid-inverter?_pos=1&_sid=c032a7496&_ss=r). Does anyone have the latest manual for this inverter? Also, how can I factory reset my current inverter (the VMIII)? Basically wipe all data off it?
  13. Thanks @Coulomb.
  14. https://www.mppsolar.com/manual/PIP-MK (PF1.0)/PIP-MK manual-20190717.pdf
  15. Do you know of anyway to make my system take more watts? Like adding something else?
  16. I have also read that but I was hoping that there is some way of making it parallel or something similar to that so that I can have a bigger load.
  17. I undated my main firmware to 41.17 and my removable display firmware to 2.66 and it worked! The warning 69 is no longer there and the communication from the inverter to the batteries is working fine (I can tell being the battery symbol is constantly flashing). Thank you for much @Coulomb and @Quwatush Shams (Suly)! Also, how can I parallel my inverter with another VMIII?
  18. @CM21 According to the picture attached, it does not seem harmful. This is the updated manual for the VMIII.
  19. That's great news, thanks @Coulomb. My apologies yes it does. U1 is 41.14 and U2 is 2.40. I will update U2 to 2.66 once my cable arrives but do you think U1 is fine?
  20. My inverter was doing the same thing and then I tried a combination of different pinout configurations and ended up getting warning 69. Thanks @Pat. I did the same thing and then I got warning 69. I contacted them but they said I need to get it from RCT themselves so I ended up making my own cable (I hope my combination is correct but I thinking getting error 69 means my combination is correct but I am not sure. If you look on their website, what cable does your one look like?
  21. Yes, that is true. Especially since the inverter does not tell you what firmware it is running.
  22. Okay great, thank you @Quwatush Shams (Suly). I am just waiting for takealot to deliver my converter so that I can do the update. I purchased this one: https://www.takealot.com/ugreen-usb2-0-m-to-db9-rs232-2m-cab-bk/PLID40361956
  23. Is that the same as the removable display? If I use that link to update the removable display will it be fine?
  24. Thank you so much @Coulomb and @Quwatush Shams (Suly) for all your help. I will do the update of the removable display firmware and let you know how it goes. Also what is MCU? Because when I download this file it is named: Remote Panel_Reflash_MCU Do you think it is a good idea to update the main firmware as well?
  25. Thanks. Where can I get this firmware from? Is this the latest? I think the main thing is to get rid of the beep for that warning. I do not mind the warning, itโ€™s the beep that drives me crazy. Also, in terms of https://www.ostrovni-elektrarny.cz/support/Axpert/FW/ what is the difference between the bottom 5 downloads and which one is the correct one for me?
