  1. An update: After many different configurations I found a configuration that now gives me warning 69 on the inverter and an annoying beep. I used a combination of the two configurations above. I used the first configuration for the battery and the second (circled one) for the inverter. In other words, this is the following configuration I used: Inverter Pin - Battery (UP5000) Pin 1 - 4 2 - 5 3 - 8 5 - 7 So now I need help with four questions: How can I get rid of warning 69 and that annoying beeping? Can the incorrect pin out configurations cause warning 69? How do I know what firmware I am running? Where can I download the latest firmware and how to I install it?
  2. Thank you so much. I have set my inverter to these settings. Do you still think you can supply me with one? I don’t want to mess about with the communication cable and end up damaging something. Thanks!
  3. Oh I see, the diagram says 123 but it is actually 678 when you plug it into the battery. I have tried this combination before but I do not think I worked. Maybe I did something incorrectly. I am based in Durban but I could really use a cable from an expert as I think I am connecting it incorrectly. I am also worried that the batteries must not get damaged as I set it on USE mode.
  4. Thank you so much for the information. The reason I mentioned the US3000 was because Youda's post that Coulomb quote, Youda mentions that "communicate with the Pylontech Low-Voltage batteries US2000 and US3000". Therefore, I wanted to just confirm that his pinout combination will still work on the UP5000 battery even though he refers to the US2000 and the US3000 and not the UP5000? This is because you also mention that " battery is the side you have NOT connected pins 123", however, the Youda pinout combination (attached below) uses the 123 pin on both connections. I am a bit confused.
  5. Thank you so much Coulomb and Quwatush, your assistance is greatly appreciated. Regarding the pinout for the UP5000 that Quwatush mentioned above, the pinouts for the US3000 and the UP5000 seem to be different (I could be wrong), will the above combination for the communication cable still work? Also, given the above cable sequence given by Coulomb, which RJ45 do I plugged into the inverter and which do I plugged into the battery?
  6. Hi Coulomb Thank you so much for the information. Just to confirm, I will use the PIP-5048MK connection even though I have a VM III? I have attached a picture and circled the one I think you are referring to, please can you confirm if that is correct for the BMS Communication Cable ? Will that also work on the UP5000 Pylontech batteries? Also, on the dip switch, do I only dip the first switch on the master battery so that it is 1-0-0-0? Is this to be done only on my master battery or on both of my UP5000 batteries? Also, is a CAT5e cable fine or do I have to use a CAT5? Thank you for the assistance!
  7. Good day I trust you are well. I have a VMIII inverter. The inverter is connected to two UP5000 Pylontech batteries. My inverter keeps displaying error 61 which is the communication from the inverter to the batteries. I need assistance with the Communication Cable between the inverter’s BMS and the batteries. Which pins from the RJ45 connecter do I use for the inverter and which pins do I use for the batteries? Also, is a CAT5e cable fine or do I have to use a CAT5? This is the I bought: https://www.sustainable.co.za/collections/solar-power-kits/products/rct-5kva-5kw-9-6kwh-48v-lithium-back-up-kit.
