Hi All I have a 3kw Axpert inverter, at this stage not tied in, just plugged into a wall socket. I bought a Ellies fridge save unit (in an attempt to protect the inverter from dodgy electricity from Eskom). I did however notice that Ellies warns not to exceed 5Amps. Is this device worth anything, or am I better of with a normal Ellies surge protector? Cheers, Christiaan

I recently installed a Axpert 3kw inverter. I notice that it has a coms port, and I received a cable, (looks like RJ45 to serial). Can I connect this port my PC to view the status? Or is it just for configuration? What software can I use? Cheers, Christiaan

Hi All I bought a 3KW hybrid inverted today and are looking to connect it to a 24V LiFePO4 battery. I understand I need to fuse the positive of the battery. Trying to find out what fuse (and where to get it) on the internet seems near impossible, so here is my question: What fuse to I use and where can I get one? (Centurion Area). Thanks in advance,

Good morning guys I have a Mecer 2400 inverter trolley (recently connected to a 300W solar panel). It seems that the batteries are dying (can't even make it through two hour load-shedding with minimal load). Hi So, do you recommend I get a better solar controller to keep the A down? Or am I stuck with a high A (and short battery life)? Excuse my possibly stupid questions as I have NO experience with this kind of thing... Also, would you recommend this setup with Li batteries? (I am considering replacing my batteries with Li batteries when they die one day). Cheers

Good morning all I have a Mecer 2400VA Inverter Trolley with 2x 100AH gel batteries in Serie. I recently installed a 300W solar panel with a Mecer (EXT-SCC-2400LBKS) charge controller. Charge controller output connected to batteries where inverter is connected. Got 26V from panel when measured on controller connection from panel). Panel north facing. I tested the setup by switching of AC to inverter and ran with a moderate load (Thumbsuck - not more than 600 to 700W). The batteries dropped to 50% still after about an hour (I know the Mecer indicator are not very accurate, but still, significant drop in batteries). How can I make the system a bit stronger? Do I need another panel. Any good suggestions would be appreciated (I am not very clued up when it comes to this...)
