I am in Randburg.- Solar problem
Batteries do have a BMS, but it does not seem to communicate with the inverter, I noticed this when the battery percentage shows different to inverter, also, I cannot select li on setting 5. Which specs you need for the battery. I know it 20amp max charge. As it’s set, when the load on the house increases, like when I use a kettle, the utilities kick in. Can this be set to a higher value so that batteries get used first. I have two batteries at 4.8 each.- Solar problem
Setting. 1. sbu, 2. 20amps, 3. apl, 4.dis, 5.us2, 6.ena, 7.dis, 8.230v, 9. 50, 10.4, 11. 20, 12.46.0v, 13.54v, 14.cso, 15. Off, 16.on, 17. Off, 18. Ena, 19.56.4, 20. 54v, 21. 42v- Solar problem
Panels connected in two strings then one cable from the roof. Not sure if this is correct. Charge rate is 20amps and teh inverter is set to that. Today the charge stayed around 6w even in sun. batteries are not charging. Not sure if a firmware issue- Solar problem
Hi All. Please assist. I have 6x450poly and 4x540mono panels on roof, 2x Ultra energy 4800 lithium batteries and 1xgrowatt es5000 inverter. First install was everything aside from tehe4x540 panels. everything work fair, wasn't entirely satisfied that the installer knew the settings, but he got it to work. last week I had the 4x540 panels installed. Worked ok, but then issues started to arise. batteries would run dead and utilities wouldn't kick in. Error code 19 comes up. Batteries was once overcharging and was not cutting off. Blew one of the two solar fuses. Had them replaced. The 160amp blade fuses melted the housing, had that replaced. Something doesn't seem right. Does anybody know the settings that will work with these panels and batteries.- Growatt SPF 5000 ES vs SunSynk 5kVA inverter
Hi all. Please could somebody advise me. I’m new to solar and I think the guy who installed the setup didn’t correctly set the Gro watt 5kw inverter for maximum efficiency. I have 6x450 poly and 4x540 mono panels, one Gro watt es 5000 and two ultra energy lithium batteries. I gre the system over four months, latest addition was the 4x540 panels. The battery drain away to 0 and 5e utilities does not kick in to assist, today I got a fault code 19. It was over charging at one point. I tried to adjust the settings myself, but not sure what I am doing since the installer seems like he just too busy to return. Any help guys. - Solar problem
