Kodak inverter 7.2kw
Good day thanks for all the info I open the inverter to see to find any burned components I did not strip the bord completely out but it seems that it is a big possibility that the mosfet bar on the negative side that is damaged it could be possible of a spike from Escom or lightning I still need to check if my pannels have a voltage output.Thanx Coulomb for direct me in the right direction. ๐๐ป

Kodak inverter 7.2kw
Good day today my Inverter stop working. When I investigate my primary batery and Secondary batery power switches was off. When I try to swith on the switch on primary spark and trips again Secondary switch on but display on batery stay off.Inverter also stay off and don't reset or start up.My thoughts was tat my primary batery was busted so I start disconnect the negative batery wires on primary one from Secondary the ather going into Inverter. When I connect the 2 negative wires to only use the Secondary batery it trips.I checked with my multimeter and find that there is a 49.6v current between the batery - and the Inverter- in.Dont think this is normal. With the negative wires still disconnect from primary batery both baterys started up normal.Inverter don't start up at all. What can be the falt pls.

My 7.2 kw Kodak system
Hi iiznh I checked my batery status it is 15sell.At first i try the 48v and 56v suggestions but it seems that after the baterys get to 51.5 v it takes forever to change further I set the the settings to: 12-46v 13-51v 26-56.4v 27-54v 29-44v The sells now run between 3.4v and 3.06v / Sell an give me now about 10 hours of discharge at 1.5kwh

My 7.2 kw Kodak system
Hi iiznh I had set at first the minimum at 46v and max at 51v for switching between batery and utility but find that it took longer utility usage to get batery charged to the 51v mark to change back to batery, increasing my utility bill. The charging amps is set from 60- 80 the maximum setting my idle charge rate is 54v and the low cut off is 44v.Acording my inverter manual the settings is: 12=46v 13=54v 26=56.4v 27=54v 29=44v My settings at first for my baterys: 12=46v 13=51v 26=52.5v 27=53.6v 29=44v My settings at this moment: 12=46v 13=49v 26=54v 27=54v 29=44v I also notice my full batery indicater never go higher than the 50%-75% mark showing that batery is fully charged but voltage had shown 54v in some situations.Thanx

My 7.2 kw Kodak system
The system is now running for 2 months now I'm so impressed with the money I already save on my utility bill, though I have a question, according to the specs for my 2 x Narada 48vdc 200ah Lithium lifepo4 10kw batteries, it must give me 10-12 hours power not sure it will manage that.I keep my baterys between 46v and 49v with the inverter settings. With a load usage of (1.28kwh to 1.57kwh) my baterys give me 4 Hours service before it have to use utility to charge for 20 min again from 46v to 49v to start with another 4 hours service again.Want to know if this is great or is the baterys bad if I don't get the 10 hours with the 2 baterys if I have loadsheding.Ore must I reduse my load usage more to obtain batery time.Thanx

Hi Coulomb yes the switch i installed for Gen is a 2 way change over but I only use one of the points course there are already a change over switch for inverter and grid. What I ment about direct connection before I invest in a inverter I used the gen for blackouts a change over switch was installed between the earthleacage to my house loads and the mains so when I have a loadsheding I I switches off the mains plug my gen to the change over switch input soc and start the gen.My garage had his own feed from the grid so I have a 220v siren notice me when grid is active again.

Hi Coulomb the wiring from my gen is simple I use 3 core with 4mm strands from gen to a 63A change over switch. The Earth is connect to the new installed DB for inverter N block and live and neutral go to the inverter I can try to disconnect the switch on Gen and bypass it or fit a 100-300ma switch. What is going to happen when Utility "Escom" Came on with my gen running. Normally when I have used the direct connection to my home I switch the mains off an if I didn't do that the switch on gen will shut off like you say a earthleacage to protect the gen.

Good day pls need some advice before I installed my Kodak 7.2kw "Voltronics max" recently I used a 5.5kw Ryobi Generator to power my entire house during loadsheding normaly 4x fridges TV 2x gysers normally switches on and of with thermostat 2x 1.1kw pool pumps on timers without a problem I try to connect the gen to the AC input of the inverter to use as backup when utility power is not charging the baterys.I test it and the result was that the gen load switch trip when inverter are switched on.Did I connect something wrong or must I rather use a separate 48v charger directly to baterys or do I go back using the connection to my house DB if I need power after my system baterys are dead.Thanx

Not using as much solar as it can?
Hi Coulumb I'm on my way to buy 4 pannels I read somewhere that you can go 130% in kwh higher with the Kwh the solar panels provides will it be okay if I buy 4 x 650w pannels it will be slightly more than 130%

Not using as much solar as it can?
Hi I like to ask I'm in the same process with the same inverter 7.2kw I have 16 450w panels on Pv1 and want to ad 4 more 450w panels to pv2 will it be fine or do I have to split my input with 10 panels on pv1 and 10 panels on pv2 thanx

Kodak 7.2kw
Hi to come back to ad some xtra pannels to my system if I ad it in series I'm going to increase the voltage and not the amps that I need to balance my amps usage if it is okay with the voltage higher then I can just connect to the ather 16 pannels on the roof and save money on xtra wiring to the second input on inverter.

Kodak OG 7.2 inverter "switching off" Solar source when load exceeds charge
Hi Bernard I had install a simular inverter, with Columb help did i find a perfect setup for my system you can try it if you want to Prog 12 47v Prog 13 49v Prog 29 44v

Kodak 7.2kw
Hi Coulomb thanks I took your advice to reduse pro 13 to 49v because I notice it take a while for batery to charge from firstly from 46v to 50v so now from 47v to 49v still take a while but now I have 3v to spare from 47v to 44v incase we have loadsheding or power failure and I'm in the 2v and 4v limits between pro 12 13 and 29๐ The next thing I saw is a problem I need to ad at least 4 xtra panels to increase the A output because my loads is sometime more than my pv can handle then the baterys have to drain withe pv to cover kwh used. What wil the best way be to ad panels the pv 1 line is still not in use.Pls tell me more about the patched firmware.I'm also thinking off ad the Solar assistant module.๐๐ป

Hi Coulomb The 63A isolater switch is the 2 way switch that I select between utility( Escom ) and inverter output to loads the Pv in to the inverter input pv1 have a insulator switch but don't know about the fuse if it is necessary I'm sure if Pv have a short or lightning strike the insulator might trip.Ns today I notice that inverter switch long periods to utility even the Pv have good output so I reduse prog 12 to 47v hope it will be better tomorrow.

There are only a 63 A brakerbetween AC /DC I wil check the roof for a fuse if not is it only the positive line get a fuse and what Amps the frequency on systems shows 50Hz

Hi Coulomb I set my system again change program 12 to 46v and program 29 to 44v to keep the 2v divrence and program 13 at 50v I also set the Timer settings for output source priority and tor charger source priority on all operations to start time 23 and end time 23 hope it is fine because 00 /23 don't sound correct ๐so far it go well๐Anather question I saw the installer did not the fuse and the surge protector in the DB boks is that important.Thanx- Kodak 7.2kw
Hi I installed this settings but it changed over to line mode bypass at 48v as in program 12 and stay there an consuming Eskom power it even ignore the pv input as priority ๐ค - Kodak 7.2kw
