  1.    JayMardern reacted to a post in a topic: Sunsynk Inverter Parallel
  2. Great, thanks Jay glad to hear it is normal and not something I have missed.
  3. Hi all, I have recently had an electrician install an extra 5.5kwh Sunsynk inverter and it is working as expected in parallel. The one annoying thing is that the inverter is seen as a new plant, and does not have a combined statistics page on the app or the web app. Is this normal?
  4. Ah, I haven't tried that yet - that worked straight from RS232. So either my pinouts are wrong or the converter is broken or the inverter isn't sending that data across that port. I used the Top left RS485 port next to the CAN BMS. Anyway, I'll troubleshoot a bit more later today - thanks for the help, at least I now know what it looks like when there is successful data transfer, and that the rest of the setup works.
  5. Thanks @WannabeSolarSparky; I am assuming you are using the T568B config on the RJ45 going to the inverter (being the white orange orange on pin 1 and 2? On my converter I have a TR+ and TR- which another assumption looking at your picture would correspond with D+/A and D-/B. I tried this on my connector and not getting any data back from what I can see (is there away to check if any data is incoming on that connection like a sniffer or something?) Then last question, Am I suppose to set my inverters multi-inverter setting to Master - modbus Id 00 instead of the default slave it is currently at ? (I have only 1 inverter) Thanks for all the help so far - been trying every configuration known to man and just can't get it working.. Cheers
  6. Hey @WannabeSolarSparky, just checking if you ever posted some images on this configuration. I bought this converter on takealot (https://www.takealot.com/ugreen-rs232-to-rs485-converter-bk/PLID72150018) and then a standard RS232 to USB converter. But not too sure what the wiring should look like. (Also running 5kw Sunsynk). Thanks!
  7. Thanks @WannabeSolarSparky , I appreciate the feedback.
  8. Morning all, I have recently installed 14x JA Solar 455w Mono Half Cell panels on my roof in a 7x West and 7x East string set up. I have only been running it for about 3 days but it seems the max I can get from the panels on a clear mid day is about 3.2kw. I checked the pitch of the panels and they are at 17 degrees. Other than it not facing North would this be acceptable performance for the CPT area for the amount of panels? Thanks
  9. Hi all, I recently installed PV and upgraded my firmware. I am not sure if it is just coincidental but after the update i started to hear a noise which sounds like a fan with some ceased bearings. I also noticed my DC temp being in the 60 degree range even though it is in the middle of the night and 15 degrees ambient. My AC temp is 29degrees. A video is attached with the noise. IMG_0196.MOV
  10. Thanks Mzezman, The sticker and manual talks about max settings. I found an interesting line in the manual stating 55.8v float and all other settings, so I set it as per the manual that i had to go find online (nothing in box). Wasn't too impressed with Freedom Won support either as I asked the support gentleman the same question on what the voltages should be and he referred me to whoever I bought the battery from. Surely giving that info isn't hard. Anyways - hoping I have it set up properly now.
  11. I have changed my settings to 55.8v for float, equilisation and absorption with a max discharge of 100A and low batt to 30%. I am assuming this is what it should be from what I have read from other sources.
  12. Just as a warning - the Chinese overlords are scraping clipboard data when opening the Solarman app:
  13. Oh forgot to add; Charge amps: 40A Discharge amps: 120A Shutdown: 20% Low Batt: 35% Restart: 50%

  15. Morning all, I have recently installed a SunSynk 5.5 inverter with a LiFePo 5Kwh /100ah Freedom Won battery. I would just want to ensure I have the right configuration for the unit. Currently everything is running nominal, the CT is connected the BMS is communicating etc. Would I still need to set settings manually for the battery if the BMS is communicating? I currently have the following settings: Gen signal ticked grid charged ticked grid signal ticked Battery float v: 55.2 Absorption v: 57.6 Equilization v: 57.6 90 days 0.0 hours https://ibb.co/VNwYP8W https://ibb.co/VpQwGJ3 https://ibb.co/s50FPGH https://ibb.co/BgpRrv1 https://ibb.co/dPr3Tsy https://ibb.co/CKrWrss Thanks a mil!
