"Why SunSynk and Deye don't upgrade the firmware controlling the MPPT's to provide the potential / available solar is strange?" I don't think there is any way to determine how much solar power is potentially available without temporarily putting a load that's greater than the PV maximum on the MPPT's. You would have to do that every few seconds since the available PV power can change very quickly on a cloudy day or if anything throws a quick shadow over the panels.

I got rid of my heat pump. The problem is that when it runs, it completely recirculates the water in geyser so the stratification is lost. So if the water was at 50 deg let's say and you use hot water and the water temp drops to 45 deg and the heat pump kicks in, then the temperature drops to 35 deg in a flash due the stratification being lost. I also monitored the electricity consumption for about 6 months and the heat pump didn't save anywhere near enough to pay for itself. I also found that it takes much longer than a normal element to heat the water. I was advised by the installer to raise the target temperature to 60 deg but then it is so inefficient that it doesn't save a cent.

I'm having the same problem. I noticed it yesterday for the first time. I fixed the time but I just noticed that it jumped an hour ahead again. I have now turned off "Time Syncs" to see what happens. I have a Deye 8kw inverter and it was connected to SolarMan when installed last October. I have a friend who installed the same setup a week ago and he does not have the problem (so far). His inverter is not connected to Solarman, so my guess is that Solarman has something to do with it.

I have exactly the same problem. In my case, I have a 3 phase supply. if I cut the input manually and switch it on again, then it never trips. It only trips when the mains supply is restored by Eskom. I don't actually have any 3 phase appliances, so I have been swapping the Eskom inputs around so that they power different loads in my house. I haven't had any trips since the last swap I made, but I'm not counting my chickens yet. At this juncture, I am thinking that the problem may be due to an incoming surge on the neutral when mains is restored, which would be expected as all homes in the neighborhood would have their fridges, freezers, pool pumps and aircons etc. turning on at the same time having been off for 2.5 hours. That would also explain why I can't reproduce the problem myself. Surge suppressors can also cause nuisance tripping if they are connected on the load side of the earth leakage switch, however, I am going to install some on the input side of the earth leakage switch to see what happens. I have ordered 4 surge suppressors from Takealot which I should receive in 3 days time (quarter of the price from Builders) . I have also been thinking about having separate earth leakage switches for each phase to help diagnose the problem, seeing that I have no three phase appliances, but I'm not sure if this is allowed from a compliance perspective. That would also entail separating out the neutral wires for each phase.
