Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Did you ask them for the firmware upgrade that allows the new low noise setting? Works for the 5kw inverter not sure about the 8kw.

High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
When I was trying to figure out the buzzing on my setup I isolated the inverter everywhere except on its grid input. I also switched the house over to Eskom again. So the inverter was basically just another consumer from the grid like other appliances. It still sent the 15000Hz through appliances in this case.

Wanted: Sunsynk 5.12kwh battery SUN-BATT-5.12
I am looking for one or two Sunsynk 5.12kwh battery SUN-BATT-5.12 batteries to add to my existing one. Only stock I can find is of the 5.32kw one. According to Sunsynk the 5.32 one is not compatible with the 5.12.

I have asked them for details on how to raise a ticket for Deye owners to get their issues resolved. Will let you know.

High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
Oh yes been back and forth since August last year with them sending proof and videos etc., my inverter went to the service centre had its motherboard replaced even because of the noise I was complaining about. At the end of the day I was communicating with a Deye engineer on the Sunsynk ticket logged for this issue where they then arranged for the firmware update and settings to be pushed. I am just extremely happy that they were eventually able to fix it as it was driving me mad having things in the house emitting the high pitch buzzing.

Yes on the Sunsynk 5kw issue resolved with firmware upgrade then settings pushed from their side fixed it. Just updating the firmware does not fix the issue. I would log a ticket with their support for assistance. Not sure how that would work for Deye.

It was a Deye engineer that I was talking to in the mail trail who initiated the update and pushed the setting so I am sure they will.

Great news for 5kw and I believe firmware is fixing it for 8kw users as well. Please see post here for update:

High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
I was just about to post, the mail trail I have had going with the Deye / Sunsynk engineer brought a fix this afternoon. They pushed firmware update 3.3.8.4, inverter rebooted (power went out on essentials) then they pushed a setting that made F13 Grid mode changed Fault (essentials went out again) then when the inverter powered back up the noise was gone. Can also see the 15000Hz moved to 20000Hz now. I am so happy the house is quiet now. So don't get a fright when they do this process on your inverters when the Fault comes in, I got a shock and thought something broke on the new firmware.

Sounds like you are talking about the noise at the inverter itself and not from other devices in the house? So far each install I checked makes that buzzing sound at the inverter, it does get louder when the MPPT's start working harder as the sun gets stronger. I have my inverter in a cupboard (with some cooling) but when I close the door I can't hear it anymore. My issue is the noise that comes from my PC setup as soon as I connect it to the wall plug then the inverters buzz comes from my PC and screen. I have taken my screen to multiple other 5kw installs and experienced the same buzzing from every single one of them. Like others have said this is a hardware design flaw on the 5kw.

My install (5kw) and my colleagues install (8kw) are pretty much the same distance from the DB board. I have actually tested this theory and took my long roll up extension lead and snaked it from the furthest plug all the way to my PC and plugged the PC through it to get the distance. The noise was the same.

High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
Looking forward to this feedback thanks! Helped a friend install a 5kw Sunsynk as well and it has the exact same noise as my 5kw. At this point I am convinced they all like that and the people who don't have complaints are the lucky ones who can't hear that frequency. My colleague who has a 8kw also has no noise being emitted into the house at all. So maybe only some 8KW are making the noise?

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Thought I'd share some comedy to cheer everyone up... pretty funny to me what he mentions considering the topic of this and multiple other threads of reports coming from end users.

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
I will be attempting to replicate the filter Wiggly Electron built and shared in previous posts, seems like that might be the only solution. The filter Deye / Sunsynk provide to solve this is a waste of time and effort.

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Thanks for the additional detail. Maybe after next payday I will try to source the components for your DIY option to at least try to filter out my PC plug noise like you did. I was only entertaining the test with their filter as I want to see where the matter turns out to go with Sunsynk and Deye, they are requesting a video showing my tests so will make one for them over the weekend and see what they say. From other users testing I knew it won't work. Didn't expect it to be worse though LOL.

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
So I followed the path Sunsynk recommended as some others with the noise issue have done before and collected the filter they advised to use. Wired it in on a lead to plug my PC in through the filter as a test as the computer is the main device I am concerned about. Here is the filter they provided (recommended by Deye engineers) : Test without the filter at computer, you can see the spike at 15000Hz: Test with the filter, now the 15000Hz is lower however there is now a new way more audible noise at around 7500Hz so half the original frequency with the filter in use: Definietly won't be running this filter as the new noise with the filter is way more annoying than the original noise. Will feed back the same to Sunsynk and Deye who advised on an email trail to use this filter. Will see what they advise next...

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
So my question remains, are they not able to adjust the switching frequency of the inverter to something in the 18000 - 20000Hz range (like Growatt uses for example) with a firmware update, or is this a hardcoded hardware related thing that cannot be changed? This would fix the problem. On another note, anyone seen the Growatt SPH range stocked anywhere in SA? A SPH6000 for example could replace the Sunsynk feature wise if I would look at selling off the Sunsynk to someone that can't hear the noise emissions... What would be other trusted Hybrid options?

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Now this is interesting, I also went and tested at a friends house with an 8KW and with my same phone and app and even plugged my PC screen in there and there was no noise. This made me think the 8KW maybe does not have the noise but then I saw this thread on the forum where the 8KW is reported to have the same issue. Where are you measuring with your app, next to an appliance such as a TV or PC? What does it measure at the inverter?

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
I used the same method to show Sunsynk / Deye that there is an issue... This is a sample taken next to my computer screen. To compare when I temporarily had the Growatt ES5000 I took the same reading at the screen: Then at the Growatt inverter itself you can see they chose a better (higher) frequency to switch at, however what is also interesting to me is that the frequency is not really emitted in the devices in the house, only at the inverter, which is what I would expect, unlike the Sunsynk. Reading at the Growatt inverter around 18000 - 19000Hz which I can't hear:

Let me link this thread here as well. I want to try this next on my computer plug.

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Thanks for the input. In my case it is my PC and its screen that are the most annoying in the house so I would try this on their plug. The PC might not have a sudden drop in amps when it turns off but I'll still play it safe with a surge protector.

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Many people cannot hear the frequency it emits as it is very high in the human audible spectrum at 15000Hz. Unfortunately for the rest of us this is an extremely annoying frequency to be exposed to if you can hear it, its like a constant ringing in the ears from some electronics in the house.

Did you Install this on your main live inverter output line or only in front of specific appliances?

Sunsynk 8kw High Pitched Noise - beware!
Wow, nice find. Now if Sunsynk can build these and send them out to the users who are experiencing the headache inducing whine from appliances and electronics that would be great...

High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
Firmware update done, now on 3.3.8.2 . This made no difference to the noise. Only change I noticed was that the inverter now triggers a low voltage fault when loadshedding hits and my old non inverter air con is running even when the battery is at 100%. Never did this on the previous firmware. Annoying as I then need to restart the inverter to get power back on.
