  1. @Coulomb Holy Hell!!!! Thanks for this bit of info. I've been racking my brain on this exact same problem after updating the dsp firmware with usb. After lots of posts finally discovered this one. Guess I gotta go dig around for a usb2serial now. 😉 "No. Only DSP firmware can be updated that way. The removable display firmware has library code that is needed to access the USB port, and when that firmware is erased, that goes away. There isn't enough RAM to hold the firmware image in RAM, possibly plus the flash code, I suspect."
  2. Has anybody tried the Kodac firmware on the other oem Axpert models such as RCT or Mecer etc? I see there is a newer version of the MCU display firmware that matches the version numbering. The latest I found on this forum is 2.66 but I see Kodac has a 2.70? For more reference SegenSolar has a link to the Kodac firmware here: https://365segen.sharepoint.com/sites/SegenFirmwareControlCentre/Shared Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?id=%2Fsites%2FSegenFirmwareControlCentre%2FShared Documents%2FKODAK&p=true&ga=1 The og3.24 for instance looks like it matches up with the RCT/Axpert VMIII 24v 3000va.
  3. For what its worth. Just wanted to mention I managed to upgrade my RCT/Axpert VMIII 24v 3kva to 41.17 from version 41.03 of the firmware. Mental note: Do not try and upgrade using a Mac with a Windows VM. It somehow messes with the file. I ended up with a error/warning 32 had a bit of panic initially. Eventually went to go dig out a Windoze Laptop started the flash process again took about 10 minutes give or take and everything was fine after that. Next step still have to do the remote display firmware. Thanks for all the feedback and info on this forum. It came in super handy.
