That the irritating thing with these inverters. The nonsensical rules related to the fan. If on battery and hits anything above 40 degrees, fan kicks on. Doesn't switch off until its under 30 degrees. Which generally it never does. It can be running at 31 degrees for a long long time and the fans never switch off. Any time its on utility power, and even a slight load comes on, the fan kicks on and stays on.

Thanks for the update. Was really hoping reversing the fans would help. Sad to hear it didn't. When you say new firmware, you mean latest stock firmware? No modding?

Yep, looks like I'm in the same boat. Temp is at 33 deg, battery is at float voltage, charging light is solid green, but the fans are still spinning continuously. Did you have any luck with your planned mods?

I have an RCT AXVM1. 12V 1000W. For me it seems the fan on/off is directly related to load. I was in loadshedding. Running my PC setup off battery, fans came on. Temp was around 35 deg. If I locked my PC and the screens went off, the reduced load meant that the fans went off. Soon as I came back and unlocked the PC, fans spun up again. Not sure if there is something I can do about this? I just feel like the fans spin up prematurely.

Hi, I got the same inverter. Wired it up today and then once load shedding it, the fans came on and are churning away. How has your mod been treating you so far? I'm not too keen to cut out the vents or the cover yet... But I'd definitely look at changing to quieter fans. Do you think that would make a tangible difference? Do you have a link or reference to the fans you bought?
