What would be meant by BMS' being "connected"? are we talking about some kind of direct ethernet/CANBUS communication? as far as I am aware, each battery has its own internal BMS

Howzit, potentially a stupid question be warned. Let's say you have a system all setup and running off of 1x 12V 100AH battery You run it for a few months, then decide, jirr, a second battery in parallel sounds lovely. Since battery A has already been used for a while, would there be a problem adding battery B because its at "100%" factory new while A may have declined ~90% for example? I'm struggling to understand under what scenario battery balancers / battery equalizers come into play EDIT: talking LifePO4 batteries with built in BMS

Thanks, Not too stressed about noise since I always wear headphones when my PC is on One thing I see about these Mecer inverters are that they are modified sine wave which might damage my PC over time? Thanks solid advice I didn't know about the efficiency drop-off with inverters. Could you advise which cable type/thickness I need to use to connect the S-120 to the VM1 Axpert? Since you work with these are you able to say if the charging settings can be configured to match the S-120? and can you set charge/discharge limits at 10% -> 90% to extend the overall lifespan?

My goal is to run my desktop PC during loadshedding (essentially a DIY UPS) I measured 300-400W load running various software Could I get some advice on the below config? battery (1.5 kWh) - https://www.sustainable.co.za/collections/lithium-batteries/products/hubble-s120-120ah-1-5kwh-12v-lithium-battery Inverter / Charger (1000W) - https://www.sustainable.co.za/collections/hybrid-inverters/products/rct-axpert-vm1-1k12-1kva-1kw-12v-hybrid-inverter Is this inverter/charger compatible with the chosen battery? Is this inverter/charger overkill for my goal? should I rather get an inverter and separate charger? Can I, in the future, drop in a second S120 battery in parallel to get 3kWh with this inverter? Can you beat this pricing with a DIY solution?
I want to run my desktop PC during loadshedding. I measured the power requirement to be 200-380W depending on load. I saw this system on takealot: https://www.takealot.com/ecoflow-river-pro-720wh-portable-power-station-black/PLID73199269 Seems to be exactly what I need. I'm not scared to DIY, my question is, is it possible to beat this pricing the DIY route? or is it probably a waste of effort.
