  1. Hey there, still have that last update to the firmware, the batteries do this by design, when full they get used a little even if there is enough solar. I have a third battery which was faulty and sent back, but they can't replace it because they don't sell them in SA any more, sigh.
  2. Yes @MeepMoop they have gone down to 15 where I have an auto shutdown a few times now... rain and extra load shedding really not helping - but seems to be holding up. I also asked them to check each battery health and both were still 100% so happy about that too.
  3. Hey @Danie Schoeman yes the issue seems to have been resolved with the firmware update - Get your installer to add you to a whatsapp support group with CFE tech team Nancy from CFE updated mine - You will need to have the batteries online or perhaps the installer can do it manually via cable?
  4. very interesting @MeepMoop although when mine dropped to 1% it then charged up normally so i don't think it was a synching issue. Have just had CFE work on the system they confirmed the state of health is 100% for both batteries and have updated the firmware to the latest stable version - also updated the inverter. I shall continue holding thumbs...
  5. hmmm not ideal @Zkrige - i've contacted both CFE and Solar Advice to try get more information. Mine charge back up but i'm concerned this is killing the battery (and the bleddy inconvenience of it). Has anyone figured out how to properly interface with the battery via cable or WIFI to update firmware? The apps don't have that option, from what i've been able to make out... It should also give a battery health indication, can't find that anywhere either.
  6. OK thanks @PieterO - I've asked our friend Leon to look, but that dude is proper busy... @MeepMoop did you have a problem like this?
  7. Howzit @PieterO - mine has been functioning well since they updated about 1.5 months ago, but today I had a very weird issue - I limit by battery discharge to 25% for the morning, to handle load shedding and the inverter (Deye) is set to shut down at <15% SOC. This morning, my geyser went on and it pulled from grid as normal, and then the battery discharged instantly to 1% and started charging from the grid... you seen something like that?
  8. The firmware update definitely seems to have improved matters.
  9. lol that's hilarious! dude using chatgpt and duffing it hahaha
  10. Yes @sjpand @PieterOthis looks like the way their firmware is working - I was having a fault issue which now seems because one of the 2 batteries I was running was on older Firmware - Leon from CFE managed to remotely update both batteries to the latest firmware and I now have a similar "feature". What i've noticed is that in the later afternoon the battery charges to 100% and then the load pulls from the battery even if there is sufficient PV production - it drops to 95% (sometimes 90%) and then all returns to normal with PV handling load and charging the battery... Odd that it doesn't happen earlier during the day when charging to 100%. But at least it is not faulting and mine tops up to 100% pretty much each late afternoon now...
  11. The installer did it remotely - I had to send my logger qr code and stuff to him and he initiated it.
  12. hehe me too - i've even offered to re-translate everything for them
  13. Does your PV follow the load when this happens, or does it drop off and the batteries serve the load until they hit 90% then the pv kicks back in? If so, that's an inverter issue I had as well with my Deye, an upgrade of firmware resolved it.
