  1. Its a pleasure. The BMS sets everything for you. If I understand correctly you can’t change the BMS unless you set it on USE. Anybody else here for input?
  2. Hi @Flappie, CNBM in Midrand. Speak to Collan 072 966 9898. Just tell him I referred you👍🏻
  3. Hi guys. Luckily Leon balanced them for me. maybe it takes time to get full potential out of your Batteries as last night was a much better night.
  4. Hi Dino, I normally don’t read long threads but i did it ( pat on the shoulder for myself) You have a very interesting setup there and would love to hear from you how you did the automation part and what you have used. Heres my number 0836454794 For the CFE batteries and firmware updates🤔 I have had 2 batteries replaced within 3 months after purchase. The second set worked perfectly and I decided to get my 3rd one as winter was on the way and my fish tank heaters adds 700w to the load that would bring it to 1000w and if you do the calculation you only get 10hrs with 2 batteries. I got my 3rd battery last week Monday (8 May) it worked good (but not great) so i asked Nancy from CFE to update (they call it upgrade) my firmware. After the firmware its as if i only have 2 batteries capacity. Its a huge frustration as you pay a shit load of hard working money. Bottom line, im not so sure that a firmware update/upgrade will fix the problem. I would really like to hear from you regarding your setup on whatsapp.
  5. @PieterO, have you spoken to Leon? He can update the firmware over the air. I desperately want to say yes my system is sorted but i will know in a week or 2’s time. They replaced my batteries yesterday.
  6. How's your system doing now? I hear CFE did updates
  7. I have created a bad service delivery group for solar related products on Facebook so that we can MAKE them listen to us. Please join this page so that we can get our solar issues sorted out ASAP. Looking forward to see you all there. https://m.facebook.com/groups/612338337069979/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF
  8. Try to set your b2AC to 10% and if you are using solar first, battery second and utility third setting then set your AC2b to 100% When the battery is fully charged (100%) your inverter load will drain the battery to 10% before using utility again. Please let me know if it worked.
  9. Please each and everyone who reads this and feel that they got no joy, please name the company who you bought it from or installer that installed your system so that we can name and shame. I’d like to think that we all work hard in order to buy solar products. Some of us (like me) have to save up to buy the next ad on to the system and some have taken out a loan, second bond etc. It doesn’t matter if you payed cash or still paying it off. Everyone got their money and now you are sitting with a bigger headache. This needs to end!
  10. Im no expert but if your b2AC (back 2 AC) is not set to 90 or 95 then it is the BMS that means its the battery. If your system is set that it only uses battery at night and will only allow grid to supply power if battery is 10% or less then in my opinion there is something seriously wrong. Thank you for the video but its no help if you have a iOS device. Everything goes smooth until you have to “confirm” to bind the battery. Then you are stuck there and you feel like you can tap that confirm button right through you phone but still no joy. Like previously stated in the thread i had to use a android phone and i got it added.
  11. Did you have it installed together with your system by an installer or did you just add it yourself. Why im asking is we need to name and shame the installers and also the companies we bought it from. They will quickly put pressure on CFE or even stop to import their products as it gives them a bad name as well.
  12. Thank you i will add it. Did you have it installed together with your system by an installer or did you just add it yourself. 13. Its not our inverters. Its the CFE Batteries. How is it possible that we all have the same problem with CFE Batteries but different inveters.
  14. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CFE! Read trough the whole tread from page one. Its problem on problem. Support just don’t give a shit! They create groups yes but only you and the 4 technicians to keep it quiet. My Batteries are not even 3 months old and im having endless problems. First it was the ios app. Still not working to bind batteries btw. Had to use a friends android phone to do it as Support doesn’t understand why it doesn’t work. My Batteries first dropped from 20% to 1% with a load of between 300w to 400w. Next it was 25% to 1% with the same load. This morning i was woken up by my cpap machine that was off and when i had a look its now cutting off at 26%. Yes they claim there is firmware updates to fix the issue and the one technician (Leon) said my firmware is up to date but why did it happen again🤷🏻‍♂️ Some claim it might be a bad batch of batteries. I now say its CFE company that’s making crap Batteries and now they can’t keep up with support and or don’t know what shit excuse to come up next as they are running out of excuses. In Afrikaans we have a saying “ goedkoop koop is duur koop” Yes these Batteries aren’t cheap but we all try to save 1k here and there or are being taken for a ass by installers/ solar shops. Its time to name and shame to get this shit products out of rotation in SA. I'm going to demand a full refund for my Batteries and will rather pay in on a much better brand. My number is (083) 645-4794 email: [email protected] Please make contact with me to stand together and get our hard earned money back for the products we payed for but is not performing as promised.
  15. Hi everyone, seems like the app for IOS is a big problem. Had family over the weekend and used one of their android phones and the batteries connected immediately and was online. Even showed on the IOS app. Apparently their worked on the servers over the weekend and some accounts got lost. Everytime i tried to log in it gave a password or username error. I did get an answer out of one of the technicians that explained the obove regarding the accounts and said to just register again. When i registered again i could log in. If your account was not lost you will get a message that states the account exists already. Now i have to get someone with a android phone to bind the batteries again. 🙈 Hope this helps.
  16. Perfect thank you so much for your feedback
  17. Good day everyone, I’m very new to the solar energy. I bought a Growatt SPF 5000 ES Pro about a year and a half ago. I now bought a Growatt SPF 5000 ES to connect parallel. My question is, will the ES Pro communicate with the ES or does both have to be “ES” or “ES Pro”? Many thanks in advance.
