  1. Hi Everyone Any assistance will be appreciated. I noticed often, the luxpower with dyness or pylontech are not picking up lithium Ion batteries and have to often pick lead acid. Can this be resolved to allow it to pick up the lithium battery? What settings do I need to do (I know setting 3 is better and 2 is Pylontech brand) but it is still not picking up on lithium. Which is the right way to connect the comms cable and the dip switches for a pylontech battery? I noticed now also the unit is staying in warning mode (error code 15) when I pick my battery and when I say no battery the warning goes away. Not sure why it is doing that. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated for the above questions. Kind Regards Leeshan
  2. Hi Thanks for the reply. How do you go about doing a firmware update?
  3. Hi @Steve87 Thanks for the taking the time to reply to my comment. It is much appreciated. The client is located in Bryanston. So my dad is actually the installer and I am just assisting because he has never experienced this before. He has done approximately 20+ Luxpower and Dyness battery installations and this is the first time this delay had happened because all the others kick in immediately like it supposed to. So I was just wondering if there is a setting or something on the inverter that we can possibly try and change. Thank you again and looking forward to your reply. If you wish to not give your whatsapp number on this platform, you can please whatsapp me on 0763182861 then we can possibly chat if you have some time. Regards Leeshan
  4. Hi All Please can someone assist. I have a 5kW Luxpower inverter with a 5.1kWh Dyness Battery and no solar panels. The system shows that it is grid charging and when I manually take away mains then it immediately starts using the battery as it should. However, I noticed when I actually get load shedding, it takes approximately 7-12 mins for the inverter to kick in and it does not do the changeover immediately like it should. Does anyone have any solution to this or experienced this? Is it a setting on the inverter since there is nothing stored in the battery "memory" wise? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Regards Leeshan
  5. Thanks for the reply zsde. What voltage should I be expecting when measuring there?
  6. Thanks for the reply. Yes the DC function is turned on. both of the ON switches on the left and right hand side.
  7. Hi JFG. Thank you very much for the reply. Yes we have confirmed that. When you say the correct PV input mode selected, which is the suggested mode? Should there not be a voltage or kWh rating already next to the PV icon even when a mode is not selected We did the settings on the inverter itself. Was it not supposed to be done that way? Thanks in advance for your response. Apologies if some of the above questions are obvious, I am still getting used to this.
  8. Hi All Could someone please urgently assist me? It would be really appreciated. I have a 5kVa Luxpower inverter with 4 X 545W Solar panels and one 4.8kWh Dyness Battery. The battery charges perfectly fine with the inverter through the grid and the system works. However, the solar panels are not picking up at all. No voltages and currents are showing and it stays on 0 for those values for some reason . I've checked my separate DC connection breakers and it shows power is coming in from the solar but nothing is showing on the inverter and there are no faults as well. There is also line arrow showing the solar to the inverter when I enable PV. Thank you in advance. Regards

  10. Hi, Thanks for sharing your setup. This thread was very helpful. Do you mind sharing pictures of your screen of your Luxpower setup? Mine for some reason is not picking up the solar panels. I only have a DC input for the solar panels and there are 4 X 545W Canadian Solar Panels installed with a 4.8kWh Dyness Battery. I get the battery to charge the inverter through the grid and the system works. However, the solar panels are not picking up at all. No voltages and currents are showing. I have checked my separate DC connection breakers and it shows power is coming in from the solar but nothing is showing on the inverter and there are no faults as well. It will be really helpful if someone can assist.
  11. Hi All I found this forum to be quite useful on previous questions I needed to be answered. I have a 5kVa Growatt inverter with 4 X 545W Solar panels and one 4.8kWh Dyness Battery. The battery charges perfectly fine with the inverter through the grid and the system works. However, the solar panels are not picking up at all. No voltages and currents are showing and it stays on 0.1kWh for some reason and it does not show the solar symbol in the bottom left hand corner like it should. I've check my separate DC connection breakers and it shows power is coming in from the solar but nothing is showing on the inverter and there are no faults as well. Please can someone assist. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Attached are pictures of the screen. Thank you again. Regards Leeshan
