  1. Bingo, inverter not talking to battery. Who installed this for you? They need to check the comms cable between the inverter and battery.
  2. Have been meaning to pop back and update on this. I changed nothing. The engineer came around to sign off this installation 2 weeks ago and we powered down the entire system for him to do his thing. Since powering it all back up, this behaviour has stopped. The site reaches and sits at 100% charge for the day. No idea why, maybe something to do with cells balancing or ??. We had power cycled this whole setup before, not sure why now it’s fine.
  3. You will need to put your inverter config here to see if there is an obvious issue Deye has the activate battery function you can use to try recover a completely flat battery. I’d check if your BMS is communicating correctly with the inverter. If you tap on the battery on the Home Screen, then bottom right for LiBmS. You should see the battery values there otherwise it’s a coms issue and you need to check your installation
  4. We haven't tried it with any other combo actually. Mostly stick to deye/sunsynk in CT. My reason however for believing its the BMS was that in every case, the BMS is setting the charge current limit to 0 on the inverter. It will charge to 100% then slowly trickle down as the inverter moves load between solar and battery. Once under 90% it will begin charging again. If I cycle the battery at any time before it gets to 90%, it begins charging again. Where this hasn't happened though, is where a sunsynk battery has been used. 🤷‍♂️
  5. Do you mind sharing which supplier did this? I have this exact issue at every place I’ve installed Deye/Volta and getting support from anyone to fix this issue has been tremendously difficult. With the uptick in sales of this battery, they should post their firmwares online.
  6. I did eventually get hold of support, but they didn't solve the issue. What did solve the issue was getting a new SD card. It turns out the 2 in the cupboard where older and the PI/SA really didn't like them. With no monitor on it was impossible to see what was going on. I cant explain the other issues I was having, but all is working now.
  7. Thanks for the replies, but I haven't got to the point of even accessing the PI or activating it on the SA website. As my post said, I cant access the PI config page on WIFI or LAN method. I have tried them 3 times this week to contact them, no response.
  8. Hey Guys, I bought solar assistant this week and just cannot get it to run. I've tried on 3 different pi's, re-downloaded and re-flashed about 10 times. I can connect to the wifi, but I cannot get their page on the wifi setup, and it comes up with another local IP in my dashboard if I plug it into my LAN. I can see the pi if I scan the network while its on LAN, but the IP just times out when I try to connect to it. I assume they put some file on your build to identify the install as yours, am wondering if there was an issue there. I mailed info@ with my issues twice and have not had any response. I also tried calling them but the phone is off. Has anyone else had an issue like this? I thought from the forums here that they were quite snappy and its supposed to be simple. Thanks
