I've got Infinisolar IV 5600 hybrid inverter. It uses the Solarpower app for monitoring but it is just horrible. Is there any way for me to get the usage data from the inverter so that I can do my own data manipulation in something like Excel? Or are there alternatives out there that can do a better job?

Ok, just an update. I reached out to Hubble and got a response within minutes, very impressive. But basically what they said is that it is normal behavior and nothing to worry about. Thanks for all the comments, at least now I know it's not going to detonate

@MeepMoop Yes it is just too consistent not to be some predefined behavior. I'll continue investigating to find if there is some inverter or battery setting that is causing it.

As in my original post - the settings are correct as per the Hubble specs. No issue there.

If I understand your question correctly @zsde , I use the User setting, i.e. I do not specify a specific battery type, so that I can override the float etc., so that is probably what you refer to as Voltage Control mode?

Will do that (was going to say tonight DUH) later today or tomorrow and see what happens. What I did do in a similar vain is to disconnect the grid and battery, switch on a whole lot of smaller stuff (don't have any high-power devices just yet) and the PV power did go up, BUT (and this I find strange) it still fluctuated with the peaks now much higher due to the extra load. The lows were definitely lower than the total load yet everything just ticked over without an issue.

Thanks @zsde, none of those sound/look familiar to me and I went through all the settings to see if there is something that might point to this but I found nothing.

Thanks @Bobster., unfortunately, I do not have a graph. I use really crap solarpower app but mostly observe this behavior by watching the display in the inverter.

Thanks @mzezman. Definitely not shade, clouds, etc. What do you mean when you say it could be due to load? The load is fairly constant but I'm going to ask a very stupid question now - does the power shown on the inverter normally show what is being used or what is generated i.e. if it reports 230v, 55W is that what is currently being used or is that what the panels are generating?

I have a Hubble Am-2 on a hybrid 5.6Kw inverter. I noticed that when the grid goes off the battery level quickly drops to 94% but thereafter it seems to have normal discharge. During the day when solar is available, the same happens but it then stays at 94%. Whenever the grid returns it charges up back to 100% fairly quickly. Is this something I need to be concerned about, is it maybe caused by a setting? The inverter settings is in line with the Hubble specs.

I had 10 x 560W panels installed in 2 strings on my 5.6kw hybrid inverter. I noticed now that the power on the PV input keeps on fluctuating resulting in the battery charge being switched between the grid and PV constantly. Why would this happen? Hi My Hubble AM-2 5.5Kwh is continually making a clicking sound, (like a relay click) but seems to be operating normally. Why is this. I don't remember it doing it until a few days ago. There are not currently any PV connected, only an inverter and one battery. The normal load during loadshedding has never exceeded 7%.

I have one of those that I used as backup with gel batteries and it works just fine. Been going for over 2 years now. Never looked at upgrade options etc. but as it stands it does the job. I got a separate 5.5kwh hybrid with Lithium batteries in the end of the day.

No worries, I sorted it out but not the way you'd think. To configure the wifi on these hybrid inverters you need to use the Solarpower app, which as mentioned I could never get done. So I decided to try Watchsolar, used for off-grid inverters, Well surprise, surprise, it worked first time. I then removed it and went back to Solarpower and it also worked. Cannot really tell what the difference between the two apps are, except for the icon.

Hi, I'm hoping that somebody can help me with this. I am trying to configure the wifi module on the InfoSolar V IV5600 inverter but do not have nay success. I can connect to the wifi module and select the AP. After I enter the AP password and confirm it return with the diagnostic screen telling me that there is an issue with communication with the wifi module and the server. diagnostic results Things I have tried: a) Confirm that the AP password is correct b) Tried different AP's. I have 4 on my network and the one I will use eventually is right next to the inverter c) Checked that I have internet access from all of the APs I have tried d) Confirmed that there are not port blocking, url filtering or firewalls active on any of the APs I have tried e) Restarted the inverter, hard and soft reboot, multiple time Any ideas?
