  1. So finally an update on this particular issue. Turns out there were two issues that were causing the Li-BMS to show no values: 1. The cable that runs from the first battery to inverter was a normal CAT6 flylead. It was supposed to be a special cable with a custom pin out configuration on both sides. I obtained the correct cable pinout configuration from the inverter supplier and just made the cable myself using a RJ45 crimper and RJ45 jacks. 2. My battery addresses were incorrect. I have since changed them to the correct settings. All dips off on the first battery and dip 1 on, on the second battery (exactly as per the guide postred above by @Nexxus. I have not had the "off grid" issue since. I'm not sure of the issue is solved but I will monitor and post back here if anything happens.
  2. Ah thank you - Here are my values. Seems they're all zeroes. So there is some BMS communication issue. The installer that set this up didnt seem to know how to get into this LiBMS screen at all, so I doubt he even knew there was an issue to begin with. I have also posted a pic of my batteries which shows how the cables are connected as well as the dip switches. Perhaps my batteries are configured wrong i.e the drip switches.

Single Phase What are the tolerances set for frequency and Voltage? (pic attached) Grid Frequency - 50Hz Reconnection Time 60s PF 1.000 Grid HZ High 51.5Hz Grid Vol High 265.0V Grid HZ Low 47.5Hz Grid Vol Low 185.0V INV Output Voltage 230V Under the battery settings, what are your battery warning level, disconnect level and re-connect level percentages? (pics attached) Batt Mode - Lithium Batt Capacity - 200Ah Max A Charge 100A Max A Discharge 100A Activate battery - Ticked Start 30% A 40A Grid Charge and Grid Signal - Both Ticked Lithium Mode 00 Shutdown 20% Low Batt 30% Restart 35% Under the System Work mode settings, maybe you could set a grid charge tick under each time slot to bring you up to a minimum level from grid, say 30% or something like that charged from grid, so your family doesn't have to wait for you to return to start charging enough to re-start the system. - Pic attached Do you see anything in my settings that might be incorrect?
  5. I have a Deye 5Kw with 2 x Vestwoods 5KW batteries. The system has been working very well since installed in March 2023. I do however has the misfortune of having the following problem: - My inverter shows that it is Off Grid (Even when there actually is Eskom power) - See pic attached. I have also attached my firmware version in a picture. Even if i use my changeover switch to inverter bypass it still does nothing. This results in the house running of batteries without us knowing about it. It has lead to a few instances where the batteries were drained and we were not able to use any electrical appliances nor lights till they batteries got charged up again. To get back to a proper working state, I have to resort to turning the Deye off and on again before it detects the Eskom power coming in and goes back to normal - Charging the batteries etc. Has anyone had this issue and if so how did you resolve it? This is really bugging me and I would love to fix it. If I'm not home, my family doesnt have any idea how to work the inverter and they have to sit in darkness till I get home.
  6. @GreenFields - My initial thought was to put 8 on 1 x MPPT based on the little research I did. I do plan on buying more panels in future for the 2nd MPPT.
  7. @WannabeSolarSparky - Thank you for the information. I'm new to solar and am learning each day, so I really appreciate your advise. I have another question, what do I need to look at on my inverter specs list and the solar panel spec list to determine if panels will or wont work perfectly?
  8. Hi everyone, I've recently installed a 5Kw Deye inverter (spec sheet attached) onto my DB along with 2 x 5Kw Vestwoods batteries. The setup works great and our entire house runs fine during load shedding. My stove is gas. My geyser and aircons are isolated so we are good. I have recently ordered 8 x Longi Solar Panels 555w for my roof (Spec sheet attached) from a supplier. I contacted my installer and he mentioned that I might have an issue with my input voltage on the MPPT that I the panels will be installed on. He said I might want to return the panels. Does anyone have any advice for me regarding this? I would like to use these panels and get the best efficiency out of them if possible butt he installer has cast some doubt?
