Hi,
I have added a second string of five (5) x375w Canadian Solar panels to my Luxpower SNA5000. These are facing the morning sun in an effort to boost solar PV production in the mornings as my first string of panels suffers from shading and only really come to their own from 11h30 onwards.
However now when both isolators of PV1 and PV2 strings are switched on the inverter stops using the solar power of both strings. Why? But for instance when string 1 isolator only is on it uses the PV power from PV1 and;   and when string 2 isolator only is on it then uses the PV from PV2 successfully.   But when both is on it doesn't use the solar power from either PV1 or PV2.   Do I need to change settings on the invertor via the LCD screen to "tell" the inverter that PV2 should be enabled? Ie to activate PV2..

In terms of code that is good - I'm looking for name of an installer who has happy customers installing these specific inverters - Luxpower SNA5000. The COC I will discuss with the person who does the job. Safety is always important, and any work done for good reason will be done. The reason for my post was that I saw another thread where the guys had issues with the Luxpower tripping and a lot of work was done to try and get to the bottom of those issues. I am looking for an installer who knows this product, to skip that specific learning curve. I may go there and try and find a name of forum member that I can approach.  Thanks anyway.

2.56kw Lithium Battery Fivestar still for sale. Has been used since 8 Nov 2022. Works well with entry level 3KW 24v inverters. Paid R16,000. Will look as offers from R7,000 as it is used.
Reason for sale is that I am planning to upgrade (to 48v system with larger batteries, and a  Hybrid inverter that I can monitor from my phone and that can blend solar and mains)
The battery has no known defects - It has been very good to get us through loadshedding even for 4 hours as long as we manage the loads sensibly. No cycle count available.
Battery and 24v inverter (VZ-3524P-SM (S/N 20221105 0221) (3000W/3500VA) can also be sold together - less than year old). Together it can be sold at R12,000. Want to upgrade to 48v/5KW.
