Hi, I have added a second string of five (5) x375w Canadian Solar panels to my Luxpower SNA5000. These are facing the morning sun in an effort to boost solar PV production in the mornings as my first string of panels suffers from shading and only really come to their own from 11h30 onwards. However now when both isolators of PV1 and PV2 strings are switched on the inverter stops using the solar power of both strings. Why? But for instance when string 1 isolator only is on it uses the PV power from PV1 and; and when string 2 isolator only is on it then uses the PV from PV2 successfully. But when both is on it doesn't use the solar power from either PV1 or PV2. Do I need to change settings on the invertor via the LCD screen to "tell" the inverter that PV2 should be enabled? Ie to activate PV2.. Andre

In terms of code that is good - I'm looking for name of an installer who has happy customers installing these specific inverters - Luxpower SNA5000. The COC I will discuss with the person who does the job. Safety is always important, and any work done for good reason will be done. The reason for my post was that I saw another thread where the guys had issues with the Luxpower tripping and a lot of work was done to try and get to the bottom of those issues. I am looking for an installer who knows this product, to skip that specific learning curve. I may go there and try and find a name of forum member that I can approach. Thanks anyway.

Hi all, I need a reference for a Luxpower installer(s). The area is Randburg. Preferably a reference from a happy customer! What needs be done? 1) Install one new Luxpower SNA5000 inverter and one 5.1kw SVolt battery to existing system. (Make sure the battery communicates to the inverter and the WIFI dongle speaks to my phone.) 2) Add one more plug circuit to what the inverter carries. This is the whole circuit which can be moved from Eskom only to the inverter circuit. Note DB board already split, all in place - just need to add this plug circuit to inverter side. 3) Add one other designated plug to what the inverter supplies to get my fridge onto the inverter circuit. Note DB board already split, all in place - just need to add this single plug to inverter side. 4) Change 2 circuit breakers out from 10a to the correct sizing that this inverter will requires. I think it may be 20a to replace the existing 2 10a breakers. 5) To assist me with getting my solar panel installation up scratch for the bigger inverter - was previously DIY'd. Not ideal but also don't want to replace my existing 4 x 375w Candian Solar panels. We may need to add a few panels and 2 in 2 out combiner box. Availability on those panels are low but happy to wait a bit to secure the right panels. We may do this now or as a second phase. Once done I need a COC for the changes so that the inverter and battery warrantee and insurance aspects can be in place. Need someone with a good reference specifically to the Luxpower SNA5000 with the knowledge to get the settings right the first time to avoid trips during loadshedding -- it seems some users have been experiencing this problem. We are away from home at times for up to two weeks, and I cannot afford trips.
