  1. The grid is connected yes With those settings the uses the battery to help the grid up to the SOC specified then it stops using the battery until the next time slot, it works perfect if i have charge enabled for those times but if i use it like that and have load shedding my battery drops below and then fills my battery's with disgusting Eskom power. CT is definitely working only showing 0 because the inverter gets disconnected from the grid (The problem im having) No faults on the inverter We have a normal meter, dont think there is anything smart about it
  2. Should not matter as Parallel is not ticked
  3. No idea, How it was setup by the installer, who also messed up a bunch of other things, can i change it to master
  4. Yeah like i mentioned it does not happen if i have charge from grid ticked on my system time settings, Very odd
  5. Thanks please find above two posts
  6. Just got another disconnect at 17:05 / 17:06
  7. As time goes on i will get more data here one where a disconnect happened Thanks
  8. Hi, 5kw sunsynk inverter 2X 5.32 sunsynk batteries So i am trying to identify the cause here, I get random disconnects at night when i discharge my batteries then reconnects after the set 60 seconds, I have checked grid stability is not to blame here, grid is perfectly stable before every disconnect, It does not happen when i have selected charge from grid in my system settings, but i dont want dirty Eskom power in my batteries so i leave this off. Only charge from solar. I have a feeling its got something to do with my battery settings, see below, let me know if this is correct. The grid start in particular: Another theory is its because my CT coil is 25 meters away but i don't think a CT coil reading will disconnect the grid, otherwise it is working and is connected the right way arround. Thanks

I dont have the rack mount batteries, the model i have does not have a dip switch, im pretty certain

I understand, Why is there an option to update the firmware then, Like will Sunsynk then rather not advise updating batteries firmware?

Does anyone know if the Batteries should be upgraded in stages or can you take it straight to the latest version? How do you even know what version they running?

Thanks for the good info, definitely gives me some peace of mind, Yes cap is set at 208 Also interesting fact is, the installers didn't really know what they where doing, CT Coil was reversed i had to explain that to them so they could fix They lost their mind when my non-essentials (GRID) where at 9kw, had to explain to them them that's not a problem its read from CT I had to set up the inverter to power my non-essentials via PV after i asked them to fix the CT coil Master and slave configuration was not set correctly on bat, see below So on the batteries i had this problem that they only want to pair up correctly if i use the left battery as the master, the installers had the right as the master and it wasn't really working because it wouldn't power them both on or off by powering the master on/off. I swapped the cam and link cables so the other one is the master and now i can power them both on and off by powering on/off the new master Point being i do think there is a firmware mismatch Way to worried to get the original installer to to the upgrade and i don't trust any of there Cowboys not sure what im going to do, i will call around i guess and see who knows the most about the topic.

Hi Hendrik, Thanks have a look below:
  14. Thanks for the feedback, i will dig into it when i have time again,
  15. Hi, I some of it but i just need some to simplify this for me: My goal is to be able to see: My Essentials Load and my Non Essentials load that's all, i just want to know what parameters they are L-something>> P-pv - Solar Power P-External-CT-Total - This is power going into the house P-load - This is the max power, Battery + Grid Am i missing a parameter? Had anyone did a test with this, i tried but results are inconsistent. All i want to know is how much is going though passthrough like from Grid to Inverter to non essentials. I need to make sure its less than 5KW according to Sunsynk (even though i heard that you can go to 7kw on passthrough? Any assistance will be appreciated Another picture below
  16. Hi all, I got 2 X 5.32 Sunsynk batteries, I had a problem last night so this morning i wanted to "reset" the batteries, I powered the slave off first then the Master using the switch at the back, I then switched the Master on at the back first, but for some reason it just starts up automatically, like i dont have to hold the font button in for 3 seconds it just starts. This is not the case with the slave, with the slave i switched it on at the back then had to hold the power button for 3 seconds to power it on. Now my concern is why is the master battery starting on its own, if i hold the power button the light move up then down and it just is on again, so i cant power it on or off with the front button. Why is this? the other battery works fine in this regard. Anyone with a similar setup experiencing the same? EDIT: I also disconnected the CAN cable to see if the inverter is signaling the battery to power on but it still just came on without me having to push the front button

Full graph if required, Really love my system would hate if something is faulty,

Hi all, I have a 5kw Sunsynk inverter and 2 X 5.32 Sunsynk batteries, We had load shedding and my batteries where at 70% so 70% - 20% (shutoff) i had 50% usable charge left and if its a 10KWH battery (2 X 5) it should have 5KWh capacity, So what happened here? They only discharged 2.6KWH and then where flat? Are these brand new battery's faulty or am i missing something? How can i test? Thanks
  19. Any solution to this, Literally the exact same issue, random disconnects especially while discharging battery at night?

Ok awesome here is LiBMS data

So is this correct then right? You think it will be beneficial to set it to 100 and 100. Maybe extend the batteries life a bit and keep them healthy?

Hi all, I got a 5KW Sunsynk inverter and 2 X 5.32 Sunsynk batteries I would just like to verify the installers settings as im also learning the in's and out's Im mainly concerned with the following: Looking at the spec sheet the nominal rating for charge/discharge is 0.5c or in other words 50a? So because i got two thats why its double right? Now will it be beneficial for the battery to just change the charge and discharge to 100a? Lastly i have seen the battery discharge at 5.3KW 5300W at some point when i was using the stored energy from the panels max discharge is 5000W according to the spec sheet, should i change it somewhere or is it good? Thanks
  23. Yeah but yours make sense, mine seems to be bit excessive
