  1. 😎 I had exactly the same problem and realized it was a high current capacitor charge problem. Because the Solar system runs for only 16.5hrs a day I need to start the system every time. So I made this little kick starter powered by a Cheap 36V 2A Chines power supply. Works like a dream every time 👍
  2. My system is to be used in a Broadcast Radio transmitter room directly below the antenna system 😎 The area is flooded with a blanket of RF which will surely cause problems with a Raspberry Pi.
  3. I have the same(ish) problem with my setup 🤓 I agree if there was increments of 0.1V we could obtain satisfactory results 👍
  4. Some more real numbers workouts reveal this Pylontech Specs ... Nominal Capacity (Wh) = 3552 = 100!% Usable Capacity (Wh) = 3374 = 95% Omega X-Rack Specs ... Battery Mode Peak Efficiency = 90% Setting #12 = Battery voltage point back to utility Tests with 1000W load from fully charged... #12 @ 48V it did 2.35hrs -or- 2:21 or 2350W @ 90% power taken from battery = 2610W = 73.5% of Battery Capacity BTW: with #12 @ 47V at +/- 47.5V the inverter flashes Warning #4 = Low Battery #12 @ 47V it did 3.12hrs -or- 3:07 = 3120W @ 90% power taken from battery = 3466W = 97.6% of Battery Capacity Am I going to kill the battery @ 47V ?
  5. Jacques Ester Thanks for the info 👍 9% left at #12 @ 47V sounds about right then 😎

  7. Hi, I have eventually taken the plunge and gone for some solar stuff 🤓 Eventually the system is to power a mission-critical load, an FM Broadcast Transmitter 16.5 hours a day. I did search for what I am looking for but did not find any satisfactory answers. I am looking to get the most out of the battery(s). I have... 12 x JA Solar 460W panels. 1 x Master Power Omega X-Rack 5kW 48V MPPT Inverter - Zero transfer time. (As far as I can see it's the same as Voltronic Axpert King 5K Rack) 1 x Pylontech 48V 3.5 kWh US3000C. At the moment I have the system on a bench test in the workshop. With just 4 panels connected and a 1000W resistive load available. Pylontech Specs say... Nominal Capacity (Wh) = 3552 = 100!% Usable Capacity (Wh) = 3374 = 95% Omega X-Rack Specs say... Battery Mode Peak Efficiency = 90% Therefore 90% of 3374 (Pylontech Usable Capacity) = 3036Wh *NOTE* Setting #12 = Battery voltage point back to utility. On test from fully charged I have tried... #12 @ 48V it did 2.35hrs -or- 2:21 = 2350Wh #12 @ 47V it did 3.12hrs -or- 3:07 = 3120Wh As you can see 2350 is well under 3036 and 3120 is a little bit over 3036. Question > Will I be OK at #12 @ 47V ? BTW: Note the little kick starter on top of the inverter 😎
