Lithium Ion charging vs AGM/Gel Battery charging
Hello I need some help, I have a debate with a technical manager at a solar company regarding the charging of a Lithium Ion battery,the supplier device does not have the option for a Lithium battery, it is a 3kVA inverter. The charging algorithm is shown below. The supplier insists that just by setting the floating charge and bulk charge according to the battery(Pylontech UP2500) that it will not cause any issues. The inverter also shows SOC of the battery on 70-80% whereas the battery SOC indicator states 40-50%. The supplier stated this makes no difference. Please assist. Regards Yashin

I shall change it, although this is one of those inverters with the floating charge bug it would seem as well. It's just the same as the Axpert and Kodak and so on. Just a different casing. I still want the BMS to communicate with the inverter as the battery SOC indicated on the inverter doesn't match against what is shown on the battery itself.

Hello Everyone I have recently purchased the following inverter.: https://onlineshop.gcsolar.co.za/product/growcol-vm-3k-value/ It came with a Pylontech UP2500 https://onlineshop.gcsolar.co.za/product/pylontech-up2500-2-84kwh-li-ion-solar-battery-24v-can-connection/ And the cable set https://onlineshop.gcsolar.co.za/product/cab-pk-pylon-lv-for-c/ I'm connecting it to a 545W Longi Panel. However even using the User settings and setting a Bulk charging voltage of 27.6V and a Floating charge voltage of 27.0V. I'm still getting issues charging the battery. I have tried creating a BMS cable for the inverter as the one provided in the cable pack does not work. I have been able to communicate with the inverter using MultiSIB Control. And the inverter detects the battery as 87%-88% full, most likely due to the voltage of the battery, however on the Pylontech it is only about 50% full. I have also tried the below links to make a suitable BMS cable but nothing works. Can some assist in this regards. The inverter is the same/similar to an Axpert Mks3-24V. Thank you.
