I know this is an old thread but I'm sure by now you've had plenty experience with your installation. You replaced your thermostat with the Sonoff probe, what did you do to protect the plastic wire that leads up to the sensor? I'm worried the plastic could melt to the side of the thermostat pocket... I was wondering if I could fit both the Sonoff sensor and my thermostat into the pocket, therefore keeping the thermostat for safety and the sensor for control... My goal is to turn my geyser into a thermal battery, make the temperature set point 55°C for normal conditions, but when I have excess PV power to heat it up to 75 or 80°C. For a 250litre geyser this is essential an extra 5kWh of energy storage... For safety I'd use a thermostatic mixer to drop the temperature down to 55°C so my household will be protected.

I helped my BIL install his P4L-OMVG2-10KW inverter as a backup power system for his home, and now I'm designing the PV array to suit. The R30k cost of of this unit is fantastic and is probably why the documentation is terrible! Has anyone had experience with the MPPT input current limitation of this unit? Someone here posted a manual for an 10kW SRNE inverter which states a limit of 22A which is a good starting point, but has anyone here installed an array for their 10kW Omnivolt system?

Just some feedback on the issue I had with my Volta Stage 1 battery and my 5kW Deye inverter. The battery supplier came again but this time to install the latest firmware V1553 and that appears to have solved the problem.

I am having the same issue with my 5kW Deye inverter paired with a Volta Stage 1 battery installed back in August 2023, using it as a UPS i.e. no PV power... It has been over the weeks slowly decreasing its maximum SOC, I noticed it a week ago it was at 95%, several days later its only charging to 94%, now 2 days ago its only charging to 93%. I arranged for the supplier to come do a firmware update in situ but that has not resolved the problem.

Over the passed few months of updates, are there any noticeable changes? If only Deye published a list of upgrades... My 5kW 1ph inverter is still using firmware's: MAIN：3382-1515 and HMI：0000-C35D. Basically is it worth asking Deye to upgrade my system at the cost of a surprise power cycle?
