Is the Geewiz Axpert really silent
I feel that I need to give a 2023 contribution to this thread. I bought the 2000va version of that exact Axpert type inverter with the battery kit from Geewiz in April 2023 and it was a PAIN. Everything is loud about this inverter. The buttons are super loud. The low/overcharge error alarm is super loud. The fan sounds like a small Cessna taking off when it charges. If it's working properly it's silent when it's not charging, but it's loud again if you connect more than around 150w to it. The one I bought arrived faulty and would just trigger piercing error alarms before it was fully charged and once it was almost empty, and the battery indicator isn't accurate so there's no telling when it's going to yell at you. I stay in Cape Town, so it made sending it for repair a solid mission, and I sent it back four times. The third time they kindly sent me a 3000VA Mecer inverter as a replacement. It was faulty too, and the loud foghorn of a cooling fan on that one NEVER turned off. Ever. Each repair took a month between sending it in to Geewiz and getting it sent it back to me, and no matter if they insisted it was functioning perfectly, it never was. 6 draining months later I finally got a refund, so to Geewiz's credit they eventually stuck to their returns/refund policy, but good gosh they didn't make it easy.

Mecer 3000va - Fan won't ever stop while plugged in to utility power.
These are my menu settings currently if anyone with some knowledge could kindly check if there is anything I’d need changing. I’ve typed them out best I can. The + I’ve typed is more like a sideways T on the actual inverter menu. For now, still waiting 24hrs to see if the fan will turn off on its own. 01 Uti 02 30A 03 UPS 05 USE 06 L+E 07 t+d 09 50hz Uti 11 25A 12 23.0v 13 27.0v 16 Cut 17 bON 19 ESP 20 LON 22 AON 23 byd 25 FEN 26 28.0v (bulk) 27 27.2v (float) 29 22.4v (cutoff) 30 EdS 31 29.2v 33 60 34 120 35 30d 36 AdS

Okay cool - I’ve had it off overnight just so I can sleep, but I’ll let it run again all day and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

I hope not! They say on the website “*Fan is silent once batteries are fully charged. Fan will only come when using/charging the batteries”

So I bought a 2000va Axpert type inverter from Geewiz in April. It was faulty on arrival and had been sent back 3 times. They finally replaced it with this refurbished Mecer 3000va inverter: https://www.geewiz.co.za/inverter-trolleys/178350-3000va-mecer-axpert-pure-sine-inverter-2x-100ah-lithium-battery-trolley-12-hour-battery-life-kit-3000w-with-lithium-battery-3000-cycles-2560wh.html?sfdr_ptcid=2961_617_685606319&sfdr_hash=55e0ebed7b8e3e5aeb04e830585d57f0&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9rSoBhCiARIsAFOiplmxOjO1xmz-VoAVkUftrX1nYxW8FEd6LV9r-gzq_VUcuF6fhfD05qgaAt9qEALw_wcB I had to wire it up myself on their instruction as I'm in CPT (I'm no electrician, but I think I'm fairly competent) to the box with 2x100Ah lithium batteries that came with my original 2000va inverter. I don't have any solar so it only gets charged at the wall. Fundamentally it works, but the fan is always on, and always loud, only until the power cuts, or I turn it off at the wall then it goes silent. It's been plugged in since this morning 7am, and now at 8pm it's still so loud. My bulk/float/cutoff in the menu settings are the only things Geewiz specified I must set to: [26] 28v bulk [27] 27.2 float [29] 22.4 cutoff Is there any other setting that needs to be set or changed to make the fan operate normally or is this another faulty inverter?
