Kibim got a reaction from Joshua G in Do you prefer 5kwh*2pcs or 10kwh *1pcs battery and why?Why have one, when for the same price you can have 2?
reliability. One fails in a 2 battery setup, you can still limp along. 1 battery, 1 failure and you're dead in the water.

Kibim got a reaction from Renier82 in Svolt and Axpert King MKS III Inverter - No RS485 communicationThanks Zsde, but i was never able to connect to RS232A on the device. It's a special cable, and serial to usb converter. As such, i was never able to change the battery protocol.
I needed a dsub-9 to rj11, and i don't have either end at home, but the serial to pi, and pi to ICC option at least i had all the parts.

I have an ICC installation on a raspberry pi which speaks to both, so i can monitor battery and inverter using the same online portal, works rather well.

I had to get a serial to USB converter for the battery to pi connection.
This is similar to the way the hubble BMS setup works.

Kibim reacted to Scorp007 in East/West arrays on single string mppt axpertAre you using the same Axpert now?
Perhaps place a pic of the sticker on the side of the inverter as well as the specs of the older and new panels.
