Thank you for the reply, apologies for my late response. Spanish is not my first language so it is possible I misunderstood the tech. They are the largest solar providers in Spain and sell the inverter still. So it is supposed to be all official hardware. However I am not very knowledgeable about the programming chip set ect. I belive the firmware is U1 75 06. I turn the inverter off at night to try to extend its life. If there is a way to patch this so it doesn’t happen again I would be very appreciative 🙏🙏👊👊

Hello, So I have a axpert king rack 48v 5kw that keeps throwing out error code 90, Back story I bought 2 new DC solar lithium batteries. My inverter was the first gen so it wasn’t made to be able to communicate with this type of lithium. So the shop I bought everything from installed a new communication card and then everything worked for a time. I’ve had the same error code happen 4x. They gave me the program to go into the inverter and change the numbers on the card to “reset” it so it functions. However the tech has informed me my inverter is a POS the card is a POS. I had to bring it back to the shop again today and they tried to reset the card but it didn’t work. So it has to have a new communication card installed pretty much every time it sends out error code 90 it needs a new card. I have been informed from this forum (thanks again) that error code 90 is it saying the card or the inverter I can’t remember atm is a clone. Neither is I bought them both from the official shop. I asked if I switched to different batteries would it work with them. The problems started once I bought the new lithiums. The tech said no that the inverter is a POS and it does something that fry’s the card. And that next time it happens I can’t bring it back for repairs. I asked if there was a better quality communication card the answer was no. does anyone know of a work around ? The batteries are new and appear to be functioning perfectly. The inverter when it works, functions perfectly. Can I buy a bunch of the communication cards cheap from China and replace them every 4-6 months? That’s about how often the code appears. or do I just have to save up and hope I get enough before it craps out again ? like I say once they change the card it works fine for a time. please and thanks

Awsome thanks. I am away on work so obviously the unit stopped working two days after I left showing fault code 90. So my friend watching the house has had to turn everything off. I have however managed to get an old lap top with adobe and a rs232 port. So hopefully I will be able to download this update and update the inverter. My question is now how do I do that 🤣 when I plug in the inverter will the lap top just go new found hardware and an update is available, or will I have to more steps ? (I’ve never updated a inverter before) many thanks again

The only UI code I can find is UI 75 05 I’ve never got this inverter to connect to a app or computer so I only have the little led screen

I did have the communication cable coming out of the wrong battery to the inverter. I explain more in my update 🙏👊 the pins were correct also the set up for the battery 😁 phew 🤣

Update! ok so it turns out the communication cable was supposed to come out of the master battery’s CAN/RS485 and go into the inverters BMS. I had it set from the secondary battery to the inverter. That has taken care of the batteries not talking to each other and charging/discharging differently. however 🤣…… when the batteries are full and in float. I should preface with. I’ve been reducing my consumption to as minimal as possible for some time, trying to extend the life of my old batteries. so while testing I only had the fridge freezer running and when the compressor is not running it uses maybe 12w .5amps. So when the batteries reached float the inverter turned off the solar panels. I have no idea why. I imagine a safety setting or something. But the inverter stops showing the panels and start to pull from just the batteries. As soon as the power consumption goes above say the 12w the inverter would sort of go, Oh I have solar panels why don’t I use them and connect back draw power recharge the batteries back up and then shut the solar panels off. my work around fix is. I need to leave something on that constantly pulls at least 100w, so that when the batteries reach float. the inverter keeps the panels on, to power the 100w. The inverter then leaves the batteries in float. So all afternoon the kids had there TV’s on and the PlayStation the panels didn’t disconnect once nor did the batteries. discharge or charge, but stayed @ 100% protected. As soon as they turned their TV’s and PlayStation off and it was just the fridge again. The inverter turned off the connection to the solar panels. in conclusion until I can figure out what setting it is. I will just leave the ceiling fans on so that when the batteries are at float the inverter won’t say, ok batteries full, no power being drawn, turn off-panels. ok first problem was the communication cable. It was supposed to go out from the master battery to the inverter. I had it set from the slave battery to the inverter. This seams to have taken care of the batteries having different voltage and they now charge and discharge more or less equally within 3% the problem of the inverter turning the solar panels off still happens. So what I have managed to work out is. Once the batteries are at float the inverter for some reason shuts off the panels. And only turns them back on once the batteries start to have a draw (this can take several minutes). So my work around is. I leave the ceiling fans on enough so I have at least a constant 100w draw. (When testing I only had the fridge freezer plugged in and when the compressor is not running it draws next to nothing.) but if I have something that is giving a constant slight pull. The inverter will show the batteries in float and not turn off the solar panels. so yesterday I was able to keep the system in float and running no problems all afternoon once the sun went down the batteries discharged as normal. Once the sun rose they started to charge again as normal until float. So I can only assume there is some setting that says. Ok batteries full, no noticeable draw of power. turn of solar panels. 🤷‍♂️

I went through the setting with AutoSolar (largest solar company in Spain) and my inverter just wouldn’t talk with or work with the batteries before they put the new communication card in. I am 99% sure it was error code 61.

I have not tried to do that since they put the new communication card in. When we tried any other settings it gave me fault code 61. That’s the problem the “new” communication board “fixed”

Auto Solar had to change the communication board so my inverter would talk with Other lithium batteries. When they are charging in the morning they seam to charge evenly. Also at night when they discharge it seams to be even. Once the batteries are full during the day and I try to use the system. They don’t seam to talk to each other correctly and pull and charge from the second battery which spikes the voltage on it in comparison to the primary. Then the panels shut off for a time then turn back on, it starts to dump amps into the second battery. And click the panels go again. I am trying desperately to talk with technical help at auto solar. But they apparently have 4 techs for all of Spain 🤦‍♂️

So here we go again 🤣 I have a 48v Axper King rack 5kw. I just replaced the batteries with DC Solar DC-L5000/LV x 2. I have a total of 9 x 400w panels. It took a while to find out that the original communication board would not talk with my new batteries. So the shop switched my old board for a new board that can talk with the batteries. After that everything looked to be working perfectly. I have had this situation before where the inverter would just suddenly not show the solar panels. (I will attach picture and videos if I can). I thought it was because the old batteries were fudged and the voltage would spike when lots of power is coming in causing a fail safe to switch. ( no alarm code or noise) normally at night when the power stops the unit beeps loudly to say no more power from the panels and switching fully to batteries, it does the same thing in the morning once power starts coming in. now I am having the panels cut out lots today, before It was only if I used something high powered and it stopped or started and the voltage spiked. What can I use to insert videos and pictures? Please and thanks I have videos showing exactly what’s going on 🙏🙏
