  1. Update: I am an idiot So i took it to Nice in Observatory, they were super helpful, stuck the board in a dummy motor and it worked fine. They then asked me if i was testing the gate with the board outside the black housing, which i was. This was the cause of all my issues as there is a sensor in the black housing and another on the board. They need to pick each other up so the board knows the gate is connected. If its not it goes into error mode. Came home, screwed the board down, and all is working. Inching mode is set to 1 sec, which seems to work better than 0.5 for me. All works great.

I used it for my Home Assistant server with Sonoff switches, worked great. Originally got it to run the Solar Power app. Orange Pi 3 LTS uses the Allwinner H6 SoC, and has 2GB LPDDR3 SDRAM, 8GB EMMC Flash. It can run Android 9,Ubuntu,Debian. 3. So the board is going into Nice tomorrow, i spoke to them and they will test it for me. Will post back here for the SEO in case anyone else has issues.
  4. The 2 brown wires go to the various corrisponding ports on the Ewelink module. I messaged Nice (the gate motor company) and they want me to send the board in to them. Which seems crazy, surely its just a setting or something.
  5. I thought that could have been the issue but i doubled checked and its not. Why though would that have effected all the exisitng remotes to change their programming behaivour? Will post a pic of the board connections.
  6. I went with the Sonoff SV also after reading this post, but it doesnt work. Gate only opens a short distance. Its effected the remoted now which also only open or close it for a short distance, they also seem to ignore the limits and the gate gets stuck.
  7. Hi Guys Hoping someone smart can assist me. I have(had) a perfeclty working ET DC500 gate motor, and then recently purchsed the Sonoff SV 7-32 click Self Locking module. I followed the following blog post https://hometechtime.com/how-to-automate-your-gate-with-a-sonoff-wifi-smart-switch/, as i pretty much have the exact setup. I wired the ‘Normally Open’ terminal of the Sonoff to the BT connector on the gate motor and the ‘Common’ terminal of the Sonoff to the CM terminal on the gate motor. Everything seemed fine, the device paired and i was able to turn it on in the app, i set the inching to 0.5 sec. Then the problem started, when pressing the button in the app, the gate only went forward for a few seconds and then stopped. So i pressed it again and same thing. Went to my remote to see if that would work but its doing the exact same thing as the app. Its even by passing the limits previosly set and trying to close the gate to far. Its so strange as i cant even set the gate motor limits, its just inches closed for a few seconds and then stops. If i keep try inching it forward it eventually stops, beeps like crazy and then the ST led light flashes, at which point i have to manually release the motor to reet it and then start the process again. What have i done to this thing? And is there a way to completely reset it? I reset all the remotes, and removed the ewelink, but it didnt help.
  8. Do you have a CT sensor installed on your inverter or a CT offset within the software (wording could be different) to prevent the backfeed? So many like me are applying for solar, but installing first due to the backlog, once my SSEG form is approved the city should install a split meter. see here:

  10. Just a update and potentially helpful info for other luxpower owners. Menu no. 23 on the sna5000wpv is CT offset. Start at -20 and continue to decrease till you find the offset that will prevent reverse flow for your setup. Normally between -20 and -100. There is also a WhatsApp group chat for Luxpower owners: https://chat.whatsapp.com/HYx7K33TWNg0Wg0KWaPnTi . This group is very friendly and helpful. My installer let me know that once my solar is approved, the City will change my meter to a split meter, solving my problem. Thanks all for the help
  11. @michaelrademeyer What did you end up doing as a solution?
  12. I chatted with the installer, and if nothing works I would prefer to go to a Deye with a CT sensor. It doesnt look like I can get a CT sensor for the Luxpower SNA5000, but my electrician says they can fit hardware to prevent reverse feed. Just waiting for the quote. Seems so overly complicated, I only changed my setup to comply with the CoCT. But now the allowed inverter is causing issues........ 🙄 Thanks for all the input though 👍
  13. Is there a cost for the municipality to install them?
  14. So unfortunately mine actually goes into tamper mode and cuts the power to the home from Eskom. Only way to get it working is to have the city come round and give me a anti tamper reset code.
  15. So on my app/ browser I can only set a % between 0 - 100. For now I have turned off take load together until I can come up with a solution. If I can't get it to work I will be returning the inverter as it's not fit for purpose.
  16. So after some research, would a CT clamp work? Anybody have any experience with the Luxpower SNA5000 and a CT clamp?
  17. Hi All I am new to the forum, although i have browsed it for a while to solve problems I have had in the past. I used to have an Axpert 3kva inverter and 4 solar panels installed, this worked great and we didn't feel the effects of load shedding, allowing me to work during the day. After wanting to go the legal route for insurance purposes, I decided to get a city-approved Inverter installed and apply for SSEG. I recently (Wednesday, Dec 6th) had a Lux 5kva and Hubble AM-2 battery installed, along with the existing 4 Solar panels by an approved installer, all tied into the DB board very nicely with change-over switches etc. SSEG form sent in with COC....blah blah The new setup worked great, until today. My Electrical Meter (Siemans Sabre) went into tamper mode. So i looked up some information on this forum, and it seems the meter is getting some power fluctuation back into it, causing the tamper mode to trip, even though this setting is turned off on the inverter. I had the guys from the CoCT come and put in a code to reset it, they told me this is happening all the time and is a big problem. They see it constantly, and the only fix is a smart meter worth R12k. It's so deflating and annoying, as I went the legal route, but now face a problem with my meter, while previously my faithful Axpert never gave me any issues. Hoping someone can assist, I don't have 12k after this last installation. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Sorry if my terminology isn't right, I am a layman when it comes to all. My worry is the power will go off while i am away this December (i guess i can just kill the solar input). Thanks Carl
