MAGNETO Lithium-LiFePo4 Wall Mount 48V 7.6KWh
If one was to win a MAGNETO Lithium-LiFePo4 Wall Mount 48V 7.6KWh battery and you have nothing else, what else would you need to run on that battery to have power during Load Shedding running wall plugs and lights? Not really interested in solar panels. What would a ball park cost be for the extra equipment with installation?

Gel battery replacement wih LiPo
Thanks very much. I just watched a YouTube video on the settings and the guy never mentioned settings for the battery charge rate. I think I'll just have to consider getting a Trolley type system and run the vital stuff on the trolley system with extension leads.

Gel battery replacement wih LiPo
I found this manual on line but not being an electrician I am not one hundred percent sure if the battery voltage charge can be adjusted up for LiPo batteries. https://www.comx-computers.co.za/download/mecer/ME-1000-WTU.pdf

Gel battery replacement wih LiPo
Hi. I have a Mecer UPS with 4 8ah batteries. Can I use four Lithium (LiPo) batteries to replace them? Is the charging circuitry different for gel and LiPo batteries. If I am using my computer and forget the time and Load Shedding kicks I only just have enough time to save my work in two family tree programs and shut down the computer. Sometimes I'm pretty certain the computer hasn't fully shut down before the UPS shuts down. I would like to save my work and shut down the computer in a more relaxed fashion. It's very stressful the way it is. My family trees have over 25 years of research in them and due to Load Shedding I can't backup to external drives as often as I would like as it takes 10 hrs or longer to run a full backup and I normally start the backup before going to bed an finiish it in the morning. I can't run live backups as the programs don't like it and freeze if you run a backup with the program open.

Thanks, I definitely would be looking at lithium as my only option, I have a UPS by my computer and the gel batteries just don't last.

First of all I need to say I am a pensioner basically living from hand to mouth. Say I only want a decent hybrid inverter with no solar panels to be recharged from the grid. I have two fridges a large chest freezer, a microwave and kettle connected to plugs. I have a TV and a MiBox and Open View Decoder, a computer with Wi-Fi and Fibre Modems and Six Backup Drives which are only in operation when being accessed. I also have a Fishpond Pump that is Echo Friendly and runs at .45 KW normally but runs at .75 KW for ten minutes after start up. I would ideally like the two fridges, chest freezer and Fishpond Pump to be isolated and only run on grid power. 1:- Can the Inverter be wired in to only power the plugs and lights but not the Stove, Hob and Geyser? 2:- What size Hybrid inverter would I be looking at to power my home for four hours of Load Shedding with enough Reserve Capacity not to deplete the battery / batteries completely? I would love some feedback and suggestions as to the practicality of my thinking.
