  1. Thanks
Ok so looks like this is the case, the box on the outside says "None" but inside there is a dedicated instructions pamphlet showing how to connect up to 6 units in parellel.
I've had time to open the box and take a bunch of photos. I put them all in an Google Photos album you can view here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/9ztPDuSfYZrBEz7G8

I've scanned the two manuals so that it's easier to read, see attached:

Initial SoC is 61%. I wanted to connect AC to charge up but it seems config is needed first as the battery type is set as GEL and AC charging at 80A default.
There is no specs anywhere in the manual or sticker on the unit. (unless I'm blind and cant see the sticker)

    In the box I received:
Wi-Fi data logger dongle that connects to SmartESS app.
    USB to RS485 cable
Some normal electrical wire (maybe 10M)
Some other electrical cable (looks like it has got battery terminal connectors?)
    Semi Assembled Combiner Breaker box.
    Generic "Manual" for all models.
Then some other 2 pair twisted cable possible for Comms I assume.
Photos Attached. Let me know if I can provide anything more.

This manual references the exact same parameters and defaults:

I see the links are working again today, and the prices are still the same. You can use the links in my first post or just find the items on the website!
Edit: Also I have confirmation that the units are being delivered. The guy from carbonite.co.za that ordered the 3kW unit has received his unit today!

Convinced my brother to buy the 8kw/8kwh as well. This is a serious bargain, provided the inverter isn't total garbage. But sold be builders so I imagine warranty will be honored. But basically add another R15k for panels mounting etc and you have 8kw/8kwh/3.6kwp for R30k! It cost me that to install just one Sunsynk 5kw without battery 3 years ago!!

You can't even buy 16x150ah lifepo4 cells for much less than R15k.

The battery size does indeed match the Inverter capacity, so the 10kW version would have a 10kWh battery.
PS, Installation without solar panels would be relative cheap, as all wiring (cabling) between battery and Inverter is sorted. It's basically just a one day job or less for a decent electrician, with wiring to and from your DB. Will need some extra space for a change-over switch, +more space if you are going to split your house Essential/Non Essential, and make provision for a couple a Wifi Switches to remotely control high demand devices.
With regards to monitoring. Yes a USB port is supplied, but somehow I doubt if the dongle is included. Normally, the industry standard is RS232 for the wifi dongle, a la Sunsynk/Deye and many others, but I'm sure one can get the correct version.

Ok, so poked around BWH site, and the search function indeed displays these
However, clicking on the item renders just an "Oops!"
So best is to go to BWH and see for oneself! Edit:(No, online only!)
