According to the specs the panels are 50,28VOC and the MPPT string works between 90-450 with a 500VDC.

8 panels per string. 565W mounted in series.

Good morning My parents are running 2x 8kva Kodak inverters. However, the one inverter keeps on giving a PV Overload error and then shuts off the inverter. Can anyone please recommend what could be causing this issue and how we would go about fixing it? Thank you.

Thank you for this. I dont have a contract as such. but everything else I have on whats app and email. from invoices to payments, to his worker whats app, his wife's msg's. Digging a little deeper I found out that he owes just about everybody money, any and every supplier in the George area is looking for him. Someone has to try and put a stop to this.

Good afternoon gents. I hope this is the correct area to post my question. I need some guidance please. I trusted an old racing buddy who does solar installation for my new installation at my house in Blouberg. Naturally being a friend he offered to make minimal profit on the appliances and I have to cover labour for the installation. I was most delighted and paid his 2 quotes immediately and even mentioned that we are not moving in straight away when we get the keys on 6 August, instead he has 3 weeks, we will move in early Sept. Needless to say, we are nearly in November and I have nothing. Everything was/is a lie. So much so that his close family contacted me behind his back to tell me that all his excuses are lies. So here I am, what do I do, what are my rights? is that money lost? Please share some guidance. Then, I still have to complete the half install which I think is a massive fire hazard at the moment. New Alarm this morning? Is there any scripture I can read up about what the different alarm types mean? Is there a way to reset the alarm? (unit still functioning as normal)

Thank you, I thought as much as the inverter was still operating 100% during this alarm notification.

So i wrote to China Shoto and they gave me some kodak settings to use in conjunction with the Shoto batteries. I changed it earlier this evening but now I get an alarm, even though the inverters are still working 100%. Does anyone know what the below means, and 2ndly how to remove, reset the alarm? Or does it reset by itself?

Is the screenshot above of your SA setup or is this just using the cable (RS485 to USB adapter and a LAN Cable) in conjunction with Seplos software? Can you give me the correct settings for 31-36 (battery equalisation) please?

After reading up on many different forums I tried to make sense of what the best settings would be, however it is apparent that many people uses different settings, and im not entirely sure why. Given the settings I was advise by SSA, I have a couple of questions when compared to the Shoto manufacturer parameter settings. (attached) We have the Shoto 16S batteries With regards to setting 12, (operating voltages for this battery is between 42-57.6). Can this setting not be as low as 46/48V atleast? Thank you so much for your feedback. with regards to point 1. How do you see what SOC your battery is in? If i can do that then i understand how to setup the settings on the inverter accordingly. My parents have Shoto batteries with kodak inverters, not off grid. But we were trying to implement a system big enough for the them to be off-grid, however, we having some teething problems at the moment. If i go the solar assist route i would be able to accurately determine SOC correct. And then change the parameter settings according to this? Would i need two Raspberry Pi’s, one for each inverter?

Morning I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Recently we added some more capacity to my parents solar system. however, I realised that we made a mistake going with Kodak instead of Deye/Sunsynk just for ease of use and setting up for non electrical peeps. below I compiled a list of what I can find, was told and read up on with regards to the settings on our inverters. I hope someone can assist with improving them to make the system more efficient. System info: Kodak OG 7.2 Master Slave Serial ########## ########## Wifi Module ########## ########## FW 45.13 45.13 U1 45/13 45/13 U2 12/28 12/28 U3 00/00 00/00 current settings is as per below table under SSA (solar solved africa) suggested. However, I have a couple of questions from what I have read on this forum and from what the Energy-Mate App is telling me. 1. When our float charge is set to 54,5V, the app says the battery is only 67% full (remember no BMS comms between the 2)? 2. I'm not sure when setting 13 does and how it should be set? 3. Similarly with setting 28, no idea what it does or how it should be set when running 2 inverters in parallel or if it even matters? Any other advice would be really appreciated. I would also like to chat to anyone that has found a way to make the unit work with the batteries BMS instead of the voltage settings. Thank you in advance.

Good evening Colin Im new to these inverters and settings. currently im running these settings given to my by one of the solar suppliers: 1-SBU 2-50 3-UPS 5-USE 11- 20 of 30 12- 51 13- 53 16- OSO 26- 56.4 27- 54.5 29- 48 Can you please advise if i can change any one of them to get more efficiency out of our batteries until such time as we find a BMS communication solution? also any other important setting that i might have missed. i dont think i have any charge current set? Sorry for all the questions. TIA.

Following: I just assisted my parents with installing 2x Kodak OG 7,2 with 4x Shoto batteries and we have having the same issues. The guys from solar solved assisted with all the correct V settings on the inverter, however the SOC show's 67% when in-fact the batteries are fully charged. I am also looking for a BMS solution. My knowledge of this is very limited, and purely trying to find a solution to ask the installer if they can help installing/setting it up. This is the first time I have heard of the DIP switches, how/where can I read up on how they should be set? 2ndly, on both our inverters there is no option to select LIC/LIB in setting 5? Any idea of why this is?
