I guess if it is a choice between no hot water and getting the municipality to rectify the issue, the path of least resistance triumphs, not unlike Ohms law. 😄

MrBeauvedere reacted to Swannie in Mecer 5kva offline InverterHi, no one seems to be answering me, so I found the problem myself. I used an external power supply (10 V) and discovered that the driver transistors were faulty. I replaced them, and everything is working fine now. Thanks

Bloody hell The Must techs could not even help me here. Ok now i will Do some research on how to adjust charge voltages and stuff. Thank again.
I tried almost 30 different apps from play store this one never came up.
Now i have to learn what i can change and what not.

Helpful to have this sort of feedback for different battery brands.
One often seem to fly solo when straying off the mainstream oft repeated recommendations for "good" brands. Pylontech comes to mind, and there have been many discussions around whether they are really as good as everyone touted them back in the day.
As a personal general rule, I always just assume I would be on my own for any project and any supplier support would be a bonus, and if I have enough information to do task A or B without supplier support ( ala alternative resources and information ), then I go with it :)
This is where this type of post becomes helpful.
@Henry2501 do you perhaps know what BMS the must has? It looks a lot like a PaceBMS.

MrBeauvedere got a reaction from zsde in Lithium Battery OVP ErrorsWithout sounding like a negative Nelly and not to hijack OP's post too much, I will say this.
When I first experienced the OVP and started thoroughly researching this, I was confused as to why the manufacturer chose to implement the BMS config the way it did ( Balance threshold parameter set too high , so the cells start balancing too late and you sit with a "runaway cell" triggering a OVP and there is not enough time for cells to catch up and balance with grace :) )
As mentioned, over time the cells sort themselves out and balance at the expense of OVP's in the logs.
And the only logical conclusion I drew quickly was that this could be used as a potential argument to not having to honour warranty claims, even though by the implementation this is almost guaranteed to happen. So perhaps a case for voiding warranty claims is a side effect in favour of manufacturers due to a specific default setup by the BMS manufacturer.
Currently I am at 10 OVP's and only 50% there to a fully balanced battery.
It could also just be a Pace BMS thing and whatever battery manufacturer that uses that BMS doesn't bother to change it from the Pace factory default for the applicable hardware config (15s/16s).

MrBeauvedere got a reaction from james naidoo in Kodak og 5.48 plusThe challenge comes in due to the amount of panels that were catered for serving the standard OG.48 with the higher MPPT input range.
@johans9Â you could do 3s2p and bump up your fuses to 30a ( if cable/fuse holders rated same or higher etc. )
That leaves you with 3 spare panels, which you could wire up to a external MPPT SCC to feed your battery.
Had a similar setup previously and added a external MPPT to work around the limitation of the built in MPPT ( also the 145v max range )

*3s takes you to 120v
*3p takes you to 39a
20a fuse < 39a ( 3p panel config to mppt.)
Fuse loses the fight.
