Axpert 5kVA Error 51
Hi Beat Yes, both fans run and the heatsinks look clean. I'll try adding another fan to see if that makes a difference.

Axpert 5kVA Error 51
Hi gents I have bought a second hand Apert 5kVA to use as a single phase emergency charger for my 3 Phase Sunsynk system. I have no output connected on the Axpert and no Solar Panels. If I configure the Utility Charge Amps any more than 30A, the unit runs for a few minutes and then result in Error 51, a pain because it isn't self resetting. I read a bunch of old posts with varying answers from blown caps and components to overheating and earth issues. The fact that it runs longer when configured for lower Amps makes me think overheating, any ideas?

3 Phase Inverter and 1 Phase Generator Battery Charge Solution
Thanks Gents I'll look into that. Yes charging the batteries with a generator would be much more beneficial than a changeover. It looks like the Victron Multiplus range would do the job, but the 1kW (~20A battery charge) version costs almost the same as a Kodak 5kw 48V Offgrid inverter (60A battery charge).

3 Phase Inverter and 1 Phase Generator Battery Charge Solution
Hi Gents I have a 12kW 3 Phase Sunsynk Inverter; any way I can use my single phase generator to charge my lithium batteries when the sun isn't out? How about an external charger that is set up without BMS working just from voltage specifications? This would only be for short periods during continuous rainy days, we have very unreliable utility power. Normally when it rains the utility power is also off. A quick search doesn't really indicate any battery chargers that I can use for this purpose. A cheap offgrid inverter perhaps? If there aren't any practical ways to achieve this I will probably just add a changeover that combines all the phases to be able to run the house of the generator, it was done this way before we had solar installed. Best Regards AJ

New Lurker
Greetings all, I signed up because sometime this year I want to install an inverter in our house on a farm. The power grid is very unstable and it's not unusual for the power to go out a couple of times per day, with off time ranging from a mere power dip to an outage lasting an hour or two. Looks like there are lots of great info on here! Groete AJBotha
