Inverter 101

Hi all I have Axpert 5kva 4000kw but find ny LED glow after switching off. Also have a reading of 133v between L + G and 33v N+G o AC out. My EL also trips (not the main switch or 20a circuit breaker from AC out to loads 2 x 10a lights abd 2 x 20a plugs. Can it be my L&N AC OUT should be reversed?

Hi GrahamS I noted you have 6 x 335 Canadian SP. If wired in series this would give a combined voltage of 274.8v yet your inverter is limited to VOC 145 VDC? How did you wire yours to be at 145 VDC?

Hi all, NERSA is proposing a solar levy to be paid by all using solar panels to generate energy. I speak under correction but this includes power generated by a generator and will affect big businesses and small including residential usage. Anyone have more on this??? Apparently provision is made for comments for or against the proposal. Now the legal requirement to register all solar systems off or grid tied is starting to make sense. CoCT will have data base of all which will be provided to NERSA for levies collection. Please be reminded, no comment will be tacit agreement and like not voting you cant later complain.

Thanks for the advice, so difficult finding these. I have been to caravan and 4x4 shops but they have the cheap Chinese inline stuff.

Hi all I went to Voltex to buy AC breakers and being an electric wholesaler, inquired whether or not the had DC breakers. The sales person told me I could use the breakers for both AC/DC????? I am technically illiterate but understand the difference between the flow of the two currents so this did not make sense unless I got it wrong so I did not buy the DC breaker. Anyone know about this?
