  1. Thanks for that, yeah we need to look and see what voltage we get and the brightest time of day, just with the rains its not easy. Need to see what voltage they are giving out. If we do that we can see. Would swapping all the panels for a different more efficient type also work? So we can keep in that voltage range and give more power output?
  2. Hi guys, so after getting some insight from a solar guy in my area he said that my battery configuration is the problem. However, i did research before buying the new battery and everyone was saying it was okay to do this as long as the newer bigger battery was the master battery. The setup is 1 - US5000 as the master battery and 2 - US3000 as the slave batteries.
  3. Hi everyone. I have chatted to some people. We will be getting someone to come and look at the system with a panel upgrade and look at the configuration and what not. Thanks everyone for the help
  4. Im located in zimbabwe, okay thank you ill look at the thread. Im not sure how they are wires either. I would have to check. I assume its 3 sets of 3 in series wired in parallel
  5. Hi yes, this data is basically from what i have seen from observations of the inverter and charging cycles. I am not sure how to get the data from the inverter to show usage. Maybe if you would like better insight you can guide me on how to do that? We are running a 5 kva mercer inverter. Purchased in 2019 model number: SOL-I-AX-5P64
  6. power forum doc pdf.pdfpower forum doc.xlsx Hi, here are some docs i have made up. This is not 100% accurate but i think relatively accurate. However, upon doing this it does seem that i see the problem. It is our generation from our panels
  7. We have a 5KVA inverter system with 2 lithium ion US3000 pylontech batteries as the slave batteries to a further master battery which is a US5000 pylontech battery. We have 9 330watt panels. Since we installed the new master battery we are having lots of challenges getting those batteries to full capacity i am not home often but lots of the timr the battery voltages won’t have gone up much the whole day. Bare in mine we get about 4 hours of good sunlight a day and about maybe another 4 hours of mediocre sunlight. There are two possibilities for me why the batteries don’t seem to be pulling in the power necessary to be full. 1. our panels simply are not powerfull enough to handle the extra 4.5KWH of power added to our circuit. 2 there is a configuration error of some kind with the new US5000 battery being put in the circuit. Would anyone here have suggestions?
  8. Hi everyone thank you for the replies, they have been most helpful. We have been changing settings to what everyone has recommended and gotten help from some electricians too, but even though the settings are as good as can be there are still some problems. the solar panels seem to keep cutting off at times, especially when solar power would be most effective; so from about 10am to about 3pm, unless we manually reset. We have not really been able to figure out why this is happening or the pattern of it. Someone recommended the SBU setting on the forum although we thought that is was the best setting as well it is the setting that seems to give us the most problems. The SBU setting seems to cause more of the PV cut offs and sometimes taking Utility as priority in the middle of the day instead of solar power. Thank you very much for the help, it is really appreciated. If anyone can still help us on the issue that would also be greatly appreciated.
  9. Thank you very much, im not too sure on how to find what language my inverter is but i will try to find out

  11. Thank you. we will monitor it and let update as we go
  12. Hi, sorry for not elaborating on the particular battery. The model we have is the US3000 model so the biggest one and we have two of them. We do have setting five set to user defined. Our setting 2 is at 60A it can go all the way up to 140A as ours is a 5KVA model
  13. (Do you have info on your battery model?) - Yes i do i i will add the file below (your bulk setting is higher than your float as a start which is wrong) - Oh okay so my float needs higher than my bulk charge? i would think it would need to be the other way around. i though when it goes in to bulk charge it would try to push as much charge in to the battery as possible. The spec sheet is on page 5 of the document attached. PYLON-US + Phantom training.pdf
  14. The word document below are all the settings which we have enabled on our inverter. We have not listed the settings which are at default setting. the link provided is to the Manual for our mercer inverter for anyone who needs to reference to it. http://www.solarwholesale.co.za/Axpert MKS-MKS PLUS 1-5KVA Manual on 20140306.pdf User manual - word.docx
  15. okay i will list them when i am available to do so, thank you. Within the next hour or so.....
