My apologies... I was thinking on the lines of capacitors and perhaps inductors used in the power supply as prpbable ferro resonance sources. But thanks for the enlightenment... I puts my notion to rest.. Really appreciate this feedback.

Hi esteemed colleagues I have replaced a 5kw Axpert inverter and it seems to have reacted with the alarm systems power supply...inverter is damaged. Is there a chance of resonance between inverter and alarm power supply

Thanks Coulomb for the response......This is a PV max open voltage of 115V system. The panels deliver max 90V so there is no concern there. But having read similar complaints on local forums....it seems like we have a bad batch of MKS 5kw in South Africa. All points to a firmware problem. Just to answer .... the LED is solid and SOL is the prefered source. I will follow up on setting 27. But the biggest concern is that even if it switches from Solar .... it shoud go to mains and not battery thus draining the battery until the sun goes down and then go onto mains.

Until - Sun goes down then it changes to Utility. Problem is should load shedding come soon after then the battery will be low.

And load is supported by battery only. It does not switch over to Utility.

Hi guys - I'm experiencing the same problem. Solar PV stops supporting the load and does not charge the battery around 10:30 onwards. Voltex Axpert MKS 5kw inverter. System PV config is 2S3P - 380w PV panels. - Most PV voltage noted on the display is 91V.

Greetings - I have an Axpert 5kw MKS with a 3.5kw USB 3000 pylontech battery and Solar array of 3kw. Problem is that during the day (sunshine galore) the system cuts the solar PV out and draws from the battery. I am of the opinion that if there is ample sunshine then the PV should support the battery and load. 01 is on SOL setting. In the morning it starts off with solar PV supporting the load and charging the battery........around 11:00 the solar PV graphic is there but idle. Please help.
