In my case the order did matter. Initially I enabled ECO mode and bypass was disabled. After enabling bypass mode, when entering ECO mode the power would cut out, as if bypass was still disabled.
Here are the steps I took go get it working:
1. Disable ECO mode (10 = AUT) and disable bypass mode (23 = BYF) in any order, then exit the settings menu
2. Enter the settings menu and enable bypass mode first (23 = BYE)
3. Now enable ECO mode (10 = ECO)
As a result, my Axpert King inverter is running cool and quiet while there is utility power available and switches to line mode to provide backup power when there is no utility power.

capkasa reacted to 0 |>\/\/3|<|<3Я in Axpert King always on with noisy fans, how to bypass when there is utility power?Hi Everyone. I'm new user and trying to find my way with configuring my first kit, comprising of 1x Axpert King 5K inverter and 2x Pylontech US2000 batteries.
Are there any Axpert King owners around here that could potentially advise me on how to configure my inverter to run in bypass mode when there is utility power and only enter line mode when the utility power is not available?
I basically only want the inverter to only be active during load shedding times. At the moment it runs all the time except when the load is too high, then it goes into bypass mode (as intended). The moment the load reduces, the inverter is active again.
Using a clamp meter, I can see that there is current moving between the inverter and batteries even when the utility power is on. I don't want the inverter and batteries to work all the time. It seems more feasible for longevity to use the kit only when there is no utility power.
No solar just yet. That's next, as funds allow.
Thanks

capkasa reacted to RobM in Axpert King Connection for Setup ProblemsI have managed to get successful comms to macbook using the usb connection and watchpower. It takes a little while to connect. It may also have something to do with the kind of USB cable you are using, they are not all created equal.
What looks like an ethernet connector (computer port) is actually a serial port. Why inverter manufacturers still use serial comms is totally beyond me.

capkasa reacted to Calvin in Axpert advice...againThe Kings certainly can - I run 3 of them. It is a double-conversion device, which means all incoming power (PV and grid) get converted to DC, and all loads are powered from that DC (and the battery) via the inverter. Some people get confused about the difference between grid-tied and hybrid - the King is hybrid but not grid tied.
