  1. What size Fuse to use between inverter and battery. 48v system 16000w÷48v= 333amp fuse? I have never seen fuses that size
  2. I have a fully offgrid solar system using a Victron Quattro 10kv. Can I use an inverter welder on it. My welder generator packed up and I need to do some welding. 180a inverter welder.
  3. Don't know how the internals work, but if it use coils/transformer it will always test as a short. That is how we test small transformers and old welding machines
  4. Any installers that can assist. Willing to pay for information
  5. Equipment Victron Quattro 2x 250/100 SmartSolar chargers Cerbo Bluenova 16kv battery 24x 455w panels My new house has a Aircraft hanger and main building next to each other. Hanger and house both have AC Db boards. Solar installation in hanger and connected to hanger DB. Hanger DB feed power to house DB. 1.5m square earth matt next to hanger. How do I earth/ground AC and DC equipment the correct way?
  6. How do you ground a standalone system, lets say for instance a RV or Van. Just for information
  7. can you maybe send me a copy of your sensor configuration
  8. It affect the output voltage of the Quattro and does not sound healthy
  9. Ground relay ticked, Quattro connect ground to neutral when that is ticked, it happens without switching on heat
  10. Hairdryer use 176w to 360w when this happen. System is configured for full offgrid, 95mm^ cable between battery and inverter. Battery voltage stay constant at 53,2v. No problem with other appliances. No errors reported by Victron equipment
  11. Did a clean install of HA and can not get my Victron equipment working on home assistant again. Anyone with experience please help.
  12. I have a 10kv Quattro, when I start small ac motor like hairdryer or pressure pump on coffee machine the relays start flapping and effect output voltage. Test bench installation. No earth, only connected to battery. Supplier tested inverter and says its my appliances.
  13. I'm building a combiner box and nee info 1. fuse only on pos incoming from PV or pos and neg? 2. Which surge protector? 3. Double pole isolator required?
  14. The household water will be pressured as it a double story on top of a mountain with roof height at close to 10m. Main concern with evacuated tube is the roof only have east and west facin at 23 deg. The garage have 107m sq of North facing surface where solar panels are mounted. Evacuated tube direct couple system was my first choice but will not get enough sun being east or west facing at 23 degrees
  15. That mean I will have 4 geysers, and 2 plate cillectors, 2 circulation pumps and 2 small 12v solar panels. Can work but just to many parts.
  16. Thats my idea as well, we are doingbthe plumbing that we can install a Paloma Gas geyser if solar does not work. The Paloma does just that, you set it for 50deg and if water comming is is less than that it will heat the water up to only 50 and will only use the enough burners to achieve that
  17. Thanks, yes 2 geysers, one feeding left side and other right side of house. Household of 2.
  18. Currently busy building new offgrid house. I have north facing roof on large garage with roof pitch of 22deg. The house roof is facing either east or west. I need 2 x 200l geysers, if installed on house roof they will either be east or west facing meaning either morning or afternoon sun wil heat geyser. Current PV system is 10kv Victron inverter with 12x 455 panels, I have lot's of space left for more panels on garage. Normal geyser R6000, solar geyser R16000, take the difference x2 and I have R20000 of PV panels and MPPT that I can add to current system. Should I go for Evacuated tube or PV?
