Help on Gas geyser suppliers
Good day. Apologies to revive an old topic. Good information never gets old I want to believe. Did you have to buy any additional items to achieve using the Electric/solar geyser with the gas geyser. I have recently installed a Rinnai 26L gas geyser and unfortunately did not think on connect the old solar geyser and the new gas geyser together until I read your post. From Rinnai, after googling, it seems I have to buy an additional device called, Rinnai Smart Start unit. But it is bit pricey, around R8500. It's almost like buying another geyser. I also came across a possible alternative device from Grundfos which is a bit more affordable than the Rinnai one. Please advice how your set was achieved. Or if anyone has had experience with Grundfos as well. Thanks in advance.

Advice Needed – Sunsynk vs. Eenovance Battery Decision
Good day, just wanted to share that I have also purchased the Eenovance 5.32 batteries from a shop called Cajees. It's located in Mpumalanga, but they have a next day delivery policy. I bought 2x 5.32 Eenovance batteries, deemed the Sunsynk equivalent, for R27 898.20 VAT incl. (13 949.10 each). I asked for a 10% discount as I was buying two. Normal price is R15 499. Paid for the batteries on Thursday 09 April 2026 and they were delivered the next day to Johannesburg, 10 April 2026, in the morning even. Here is there link, Eenovance 5.32Kwh 48V Lithium Battery - Cajees Lighting – Cajees Lighting and Electrical https://share.google/tBFhTTbwRCfjg9gPi You can even talk to them on their whatsapp line. Just a disclaimer, the terminals are a little different from the Sunsynk original batteries that I already have, please see picture below for the Eenovance terminals, but my installer said it should not an issue. Maybe the many experts and knowledgeable members can further advice.

Inverter System flow Chart issue
Good day. Just want to indicate that I am in no way an expert. I have a Sunsynk 8kw inverter with 2x5.32 batteries. I am having an issue on the inverter where the power does not seem to be flowing the correct direction on the System Flow Chart. Please see Picture below; However, if I switch the Grid (Eskom) off, then the flow looks normal. Please see picture below. Why is it behaving like that and what setting must I change to correct this ? Please help!!!

Newbie to Solar and have just installed a Sunsynk 5kW inverter with 6x 400w panels
Hey @EugeneS, one of the members here just simply replied that Sunsynk and Narada's BMS don't communicate, meaning you wont see the BMS readings on your inveter but only the SoC. So the settings are uploaded where confirmed to be fine as they are a work around due to the non communication of Sunsynk and Narada batteries. But after a year everything is working well with the settings as they are. Just need to find a better kettle as it is the only enemy to the solar system for now due to its high power consumption. Apologies for responding so late and hope my response helps you. NB: I am not an Expert...😆

Newbie to Solar and have just installed a Sunsynk 5kW inverter with 6x 400w panels
Hey guys I have just installed a 5kW Sunsynk inverter with 6x 400w panels system at my house with 1xNarada 4.8Kwh lithium battery. I just need some expert forum clarity(second opinion) on the settings that were done on the inverter. My installer selected AGM V as a battery type on the inverters battery settings and not Lithium even though my battery is Narada Lithium battery. I have attached a picture of the battery setting on the inverter. We are having issues though where we are not able to get the BMS reading from the battery and the installer advised to say the Narada battery is a bit of a problem when communicating with Sunsynk inverters. As we had connected and the communication cable from the battery to the inverter in the beginning of the installation the inverter kept throwing errors, F56, which the installer believed was caused by the communication cable and the he ended up disconnecting the cable from both the inverter and battery. Has anyone experienced this issue, is there a solution, how do we resolve this issue. Thanks
