After I do a full reset I can connect to the datalogger`s wifi but I can not connect to the GUI of the datalogger---error refused connection---Next time I am using a hammer for complete reset !!!!

My dongle is connecting to my router but not to the server--tried resetting, deleting dongles, deleted the app , reinstalled the app,,even created a new account, but data logger only connects to the router and not server !!!! Please some help here

Had a check on the cable size from the inverters to the db box and the size is the same as the "eskom" incoming lines--So I think that the inverters initial power boost (is that what you call it) is to low

Thanks all---Just to add --Each battery is bridged to the inverters-- One 5kw inverter has 10mm from one battery and the second one is the same--The bridge is between the 2 batteries --so 10kw is shared by 2x10mm cables--I could be wrong--But system is running 100%--Only problem is that the Growatt dongles can not be combined to give the combined reading --Some one at Growatt that can assist ????

Hi--it is 2x5kwh batteries supplied by LithiumSA --Batteries are in parallel with 10mm wires to inverters

Observed that my lights dims for a fraction of a second when one of my fridges starts up--Even with the VICTRON 8KW (Loan unit) I saw that--Now I am running 2x5kw Growatt inverters ---Is it that the capacitors in these are to small ?? If it is the issue can I install an external capacitor between the inverter output and db board ??? Cheers Mark

I have 2 x 5kw growatts in parallel and both has it`s own dongle--On the shine app and the server I can only view one inverter`s output at a time --I can switch between the two inverters but that is not what I want--I need the combined output and PV input---On the (All Devices) page I can get the combined power that was generated---Any help please----Sorry I do not have a raspberry pi

Sorry to say --I did a test while system is drawing power from the grid and the voltage between N and E is 0v but if the inverter runs off batteries or just solar then 80v are present--so that tells me the inverter is not bonding the NE--Growatt SP5000ES 5KW

So , installing some diodes in the incoming pv lines will solve the problem ????

Ok--Now I have removed all 8 solar panels and checked all connections---Dry dry dry!! :(---TEsted the Growatt SPF5000ES solar input and got 196 volt ac !!!---Is is supposrd to do that ???? Pos and Neg =200v pos or negative and earth =196v--what can I do to rectify this ? ---Cheers

Hi --it is a Growatt spf5000es---If both + and - are disconnected then el does not trip but if I connect anyone then the el trips--Eskom and inverter comes in at the change over switch and from there to the el---(eskom on it`s own input and inverter on it`s own)

Just a question please ??? If I feed my solar panels to the inverter and it starts to rain ,my earth leakage trips out--even with all switches off at the db board--on eskom power everything is ok --I have checked all connections and no shorts are visible and all connections are dry--My roof is Aluzinc and roof is earthed to a separate spike into the ground--It is almost like the phase going mad when it rains--Even if I disconnect only neg or pos then same symptoms. I even replaced my el. The installer "left the country"

Some say yes some say no ???? My setup are the following as per drawing. Now if I bond the neutral and the earth from the inverter and work hat to be done on the electrical box outside (eskom) then the earth back to the box will have a earth that can carry current due to the bonding---My inverter do not do the bonding as I tested the system---On eskom power the e/n there is no voltage but on inverter there is 84volt between e/n. Anyone please explain if I can bond earth/neutral at the inverter out and also the feedback from the bond to the electrical box outside

All appliances has been isolated at the DB box (switched off) and as soon as the solar is fed into the inverter then the EL at the db trips--Almost as if the phase between live and neutral goes out because there is no earth connected

That is exactly how it is connected----Even with the feed from eskom disconnected it sometimes trips the EL---I did reset now and is running fine---Until the next trip ----Do I need to bond the Neutral and earth at the inverter ??

Sorry this only happens when the inverter is supplying the house without Eskom

Some help please---My Growatt SPF5000ES randomly trips the earth leakage in my db box even with all breakers switched off----Reset everything and then works for about 2 to three days then trips again---Some times if I disconnect the solar input negative and positive then the system would run for weeks before tripping the EL---My installer said that I need to bond the Earth and Neutral at the inverter and my problem will go away---???????????

Something weird happened---This morning when I woke up I noticed that my inverter is in bypass mode and that the batteries are disconnected (batteries full)--I did not change any settings and it ran fine for the past 3 months----Did a reset and now working as normal again--Anyone have a clue as what could cause this?
