  1. @Steve87 - I agree with you. Only question I have is, "what data" is being communicated to the SunSynk as an example. If the SS only "needs" and therefore reads: "Voltage", which it will get from the voltage across the common busbar, and "SOC" (from one of the batteries, in my case, also a FW 10/8) - then, it should be all good to go. the SOC (and voltage) will just fall slower..... Do you know if there is any other data that could cause an issue? Eg. my battery pack is 20kwh (400ah) - but FW 10/8 will report 200ah. And, what about "current" - I dont think so, but, just wonder if additional data sent could cause an issue?
  2. Howzit - yes, I did get the firmware. Thanks all. My canbus issues returned this morning after working fine for a week (after updating the SW). And error 08 returned as well. I have an old 5000ES, (came out with ver 02 of the software). I was wondering, anyone tried the 10kw KODAK? I shudder to think as they all come from the same factory. Perhaps it is time for a Deye/Sunsynk or a new 5000ES (assuming the design fault? has been corrected)
  3. Hi @zsde - any chances you can please share 40.06 and 41.06 with me. Thanks!
  4. Can you please send to me as well? They sent me a later firmware - but, it has messed up my BMS communication. So want to downgrade one version on 40.05 and 41.05 now
  5. Hi all, So, my AGM batteries are due for replacement. I have been reading all of the chats regarding this inverter and various batteries like Pylontech/Dryness etc. I have quotes for Pylon and the Narada Lithiums - and, a quote from FreedomWon. Everything I have investigated shows that the FreedomWon battery WONT work with my inverter (barring of course voltage level control). Ignoring the inverter - what other batteries and setups come highly recommended?
  6. This topic is to discuss the use of larger single batteries with the Growatt - and any compatibility issues
