  1. Yes. I did select Lithium again on the interface. There is still a green light on, on the battery, but no BMS communication. It still says no Battery
  2. Morning all I have a 5kW Sunsynk with 5kWh E-Tower Freedom won setup. Over the holidays the battery shut down when it reached 20%. Now I can not get the battery to start charging. I have done a reset on the battery and inverter, but the inverter says no battery, and no communication with the BMS Any recommendations on how to proceed Thanks
  3. Morning Forum Anyone here that does inverter repairs? Lighting may have done some damage to the components. I presume some resistor/diodes needs to be replaced Thanks
  4. Hi Steve Thanks for the reply. The system runs with an 8kW Sunsynk and their BMS, not sure what historical data can be retrieved from that? I'm based 20km outside Tzaneen, and purchased directly from Segen Solar. I will go through the channels and report the problem to Segen, then wait and see what their recommendation is. From the manual "The Freedom Lite error light keeps illuminating after each reset" Is the error only suppose to flash red? I'm still unsure why after the reset the battery does not want to come on at all. Have you encountered a problem like this before? I'm aware of two similar problems with Victron installations. (Which Freedom Won resolved) I will drop you a PM, thanks
  5. Morning Anyone here on a Sunday that can maybe assist me. I have a 20/16 battery. I had a solid green with 2 flashing red lights. I did a reset. No the battery doesn't come one. The battery is/was fully charged. The manual is extremal vague in this regard. The battery has been running for 4 months now shutdown is set at 20%, low battery at 35% and restart at 40% on the inverter and the battery has not gone below 40% What can i check? What is reliability like on these batteries? Should I get worried? Thanks
  6. Hi Members I need some help. Some back ground. We need to install a borehole pump with a solar supply. Head = 145m with 20,000l/hour. The AC requirement on the pump is 11-15kW. From the main DB to the pump = 110m With a 70mm2 cable over that distance (3+N) there is approx 30-40V drop. My first choice will be a grid-tied inverter option, as we need to irrigate after sunset. Are there any grid-tied inverter options that can function without a battery when the grid is down? 2nd option would be an island installation with a controller, VSD and DC pump Does anyone here have some experience in this regard? Thanks
  7. Thanks a lot. This was all that was wrong. Working like a charm now
  8. Evening Everyone Can someone please assist me with establishing BMS communication between a 5KW Sunsynk and Freedomwon E Tower. (1 battery) Are my values correct? Should the BMS automatically adjust the values for the Float, absorption and equalization voltage? Thanks
  9. Thanks for all the help. All is up and running
  10. Some more questions. Connecting live and neutral. Wiring direction between green connectors and motherboard is different. Green connectors indicate N is in the centre while printing on the motherboard says left

  12. Afternoon I need some clarification on the connection sequence on an 8kW Sunsunk inverter without a battery for a grid tied system In the Youtube Sunsunk video it states that the grid connection is both input and output and nothing should be connected to the load Is that correct? Thanks
