We recently had some bad weather with lighting strikes since then my MicroCare MPPT100A is no longer charging and remains in the sleeping mode although the sun is shining. With a voltmeter I checked the voltage at the panel circuit breaker and give a 14V reading. Checking the voltage at the battery circuit breaker I got a reading of -1. I dont know what that means.

Does it mean that the MPPT is bust and need to be repaired or replaced.

Can anyone please assist

If the battery breaker is working, that means that your battery voltage is -1 V (if I understand your comments correctly). Hopefully, that means that there is something wrong with the battery breaker, which might be easier to replace than the MPPT.

Since the MPPT can't see the battery, it presumably decides it can't charge, so it remains in sleep mode.
