Budget inverter with generator input/support

Featured Replies

G'day all,

Any suggestions for budget inverters (3-5kw) that support 48v batteries that have support for a generator? Sort of like the Sunsynk that has a load ramping facility at generator startup as well as load limiting, but without the price tag.

Thanks in advance

Suggest you contact the Luxpower distributers.
All lux units can work with generator. Battery will get charged when the generator is turned on, and the generator is bypassed to AC output to take all loads . Users can connect the generator output to off grid inverters. GEN input terminal. The generator will be automatically started when battery voltage is lower than the cut-off value or there is charge request from BMS. When voltage is higher than AC charge setting value, it will stop the generator

It certainly is a good value for the money product.

Thanks @zsde . Just reviewing the manual now. Got dedicated gen port and load limiting facilities as well as trigger. Manual seems a bit light on details of how the generator is ramped or if just bangs it on set load - will have to contact distributors as suggested.
