June 10, 20223 yr I'm on the verge of buying a Weco 5K3 LV/HV, (https://wecobatteries.com/dual-voltage-2/) but I'm wondering if anyone has first-hand experience with Weco products to share. I've seen many opinions on the popular Chinese and local brands, but not much on this forum on this Italian brand. I can imagine it's not widely used in SA, so support may be lacking, but other than that are there any glaring red flags warning one to stay away? The specs look good, at least on paper. What caught my eye is that it's a 1C battery with 100% discharge at over 7000 cycles. That's more than double the cycles of the popular 1C batteries, and 15% more than the popular 0.5C batteries while being able to deliver twice the power. The price I can get it for seems around 20-25% higher than the competing batteries of similar capacity around the 5kWh mark. But what am I missing, because any which way it's a lot of money. October 29, 20232 yr Excellent Battery. Far better than the Pylontech US5000 4.8Kwh. I have been using them over 3 years.
December 15, 20232 yr I am a distributor of the batteries in Africa. We have sold almost 5000 of these batteries and only twice have there been issues (was a BMS issue, that was under warranty). We havev sold other batteries including other lithium and agm, and this is by far the best battery we have sold. Also, price of lithium batteries have dropped a lot.
January 12, 20242 yr Weco 5k3xp is a great power station have been running it on an off grid setup. Connects to WiFi for real time monitoring. Common well with most inverter systems. Worth the buy
